09/10 Torpy riding conditions

I'd have to see some pics before I travel out there. 1 foot at the bottom of the burn seems unreal with the tempatures we have been having. Poorider are you ready to start wrecking stuff yet?

couple buddies went in there on sunday, said they had to bounce over one log to get up the burn, and they could only play in the first bowl, not enough snow to move on yet
lester, I'm waiting for my new pipe to get here (again) but I'll be good to go in about 2 weeks if the snow doesn't melt.
Ya, it takes quite a bit of snow to venture much past the first bowl, there's some heinous rocks in the creek heading down into the second zone there, takes 5' plus to cover them

Any new reports? Snows coming for the next few days and I should get my sled back from the shop next week. Time to ride soon hopefully.

Is that 12 months and waiting for that pipe? I thought you were getting a new one last year?

Went up on the 6th and there was 2ft at the bottom, trail up the burn was good. We got all the way to the back, probably an average of 6ft up top. Still need a little more to cover a few stray rocks!

That is good news to hear.....last year the Burn was like a bobsled ride around the 20th of Nov for our first ride. Glad to hear that you had a good ride!!
went up again today , it was amazing snow over the hood all day , snowed like crazy all day to which is a good thing i guess about 5-6 feet now got stuck in one spot had to dig to ground and was about 7 feet there burn is like a trail

Theres room to park at 28km on the pass right at the torpy turn off but wont be doin that much longer, coming out today the cummins was dragging diffs on the bank in the middle of the road.
I hate all of you a-holes with pipes on your sleds. If anybody needs me I'll be in the bathroom hanging myself with some cord from an old polaris belt I blew last year when I actually had a sled that was running.

i think who ever has that grader at the camp should leave it there to plow the road just a little ways in.

Looks like I should be in for Saturday. Watched back to Roops last night and seems poorider is known as Jay the mechanic lol. Xpoguy you should fill the trunk of that old RMK full of tools for poo wrencher.
I don't think Poo even likes to sled, he's just confused. He thinks he's on a NASCAR pit crew, only in the back country under adverse conditions. I got an idea... Let's pull my motor out 20kms from the truck in minus 20 for the sport of it. Sound familiar poo. Hey my 06 needs some test and tune with the motor just put back in. Feel like coming for some wrenching? We got piles of snow and more on the way. Make for some great wrenching? Got tools will travel...
