09/10 Pine Pass Conditions

Went to silversands on sunday, was raining pretty hard in the parking lot when we left. Was some fresh snow but pretty low. Broke the trail almost to mcnarin flats and into the bowls in the back. maybe next weekend.

Rode hassler on Saturday, snow conditions were a ft of frsh pow on top of a hard crust. Ended up in a small avy on the back lakes (chutes) and mangled my m1000. Sorry Gary!! Air brushed Hood took a beating, bellypans are trashed, bumper is trashed and of course the awesome telescoping steering post snapped off unser the post mount. Was a real C U Next T uesday trying to get that fu**** out with out steering. will have to ride the m9 next weekend.

No worries let me have a look at the hood. I will see what I can do to repair the airbrush work. Or better yet bring me a brand new canvas LOL. Glad to hear your alright.

4 of us are driving down from fort nelly for the weekend, thinking of hitting hasler as it has a bit of everything. would you guys suggest going anwhere else? first trip up this year, sucks living so far away. :beer;

Try powder king. Is good.
Silversands has been pretty shy on snow.
Post conditions when Monday please.

I agree that we have to stand up and make our voice be heard, but unfortunately being an Albertan resident and not paying taxes in BC, my voice will not be heard by the governing body.

Stop at pretty much any sled dealership on the BC side & pick up your membership. This is the MOST effective way of making your voice heard.
Got mine in Dawson Creek. "Be part of the solution":face-icon-small-hap

Rode powder king today was awesome conditions!! Found tons of powder and lots of untouched chutes. Rode the M9 and worked on fueling was a total hoot!! We still need another 8 ft of snow as there are to many trees sticking out everywhere.

We just restarted the snowmobile club in Chetwynd. Memberships are available at IRC/Catshack, Hymark Powersports, and Hart Hi-Way Laundromat. Late season introductory price of only $25. Help support the groups that lobby for our riding areas. Thanks.

I'll be in to pick mine up Shelfrost. Thanks for the post, and let me know if there's anything you guys need help with.

rode hasler both days. first day was socked in a bit, and the dragon found a tree, the abs back pack went off in hte truck attaching the handle!
second day went much better, clouds lifted and it was some good riding. still lots of untouched snow. kinda wish it was fluffyier (spelling?) but then i always want that.

good times.

This might sound like a stupid question, but are those places selling the club memberships open on the weekend?
I get to the mountains maybe once a year, but I would still like to contribute.:face-icon-small-hap

it was actually my boss that did it and there was corrosion in hte fitting he was having a hard time with. he litterly jumped .sideways out of hte truck (brand spankin new truck too) haha. i'm never seen a 60 year old man move so fast. it would have filled the drivers seat area though. it was kinda cool to see one out too. and we had to i phone the instructions cause none of us knew how to deflate it.

we just chalked it up to a learning experience :face-icon-small-coo

Anyone been out to Beaver Creek Lately?

That's what I'm wondering too. Was up there in december, didn't see one other sled and it looked like not many people go up there anymore. Friend of mine drove along the highway and said there hadn't been any sleds on the power line for some time. No tracks anywhere. Is this place closed or why is there no action there anymore?

Was there on the weekend. Blue bird day. Needs more snow for sure. Way less than normal. But was a very good time. We showed a bunch of guys the area. It was a blast.
