09/10 McCall Area Snow Report

Thread Rating
5.00 star(s)
Whatever it was that brundage reported was way off, cause their was at least another foot of snow on top of last weeks tracks. It was sunny with close to 2ft of new snow in the trees. It was an epic day to say the least.

If it looks like the snow is good for this weekend then a few of us are coming down from Canada to play since there is no snow left in Revy. We hear there are some cool looking chutes that we can try. Does the "S" chute have enough snow in it? I am sure there are plenty others.

Hey NM, just heard that you , Laird, and whoever else may come down. Just rode there for a few days myself. Wish I would of known sooner you were thinking of coming down. A few of the chutes that were done last year are lacking in snow so far this year, IMO. But it is a great area to ride regardless. Tell tripleblack he can swing by and rent my PGTM8 for the trees on the trip. My daily rate will include insurance.

Another day on the hill

Just had to show that there are places without tracks. Not very many places but a few.

Laird the "S" chute is off limits until Saturday.... none of us have been back to it yet this year though... i'm sure phil will go out and take a peak at it this week. there are a few more in that same are that need to be pulled as well if there is enough snow coverage to allow it

Ok, but kind of need to know by wed. We were going to leave early thurs and it looks like about 12 hrs. If someone heads out this week it would be cool to get a accurate snow report. Thanks.

Is the snow that bad in Revy? I am going up there the first of March. It has to be better than Idaho this year, we don't have near enough snow, even McCall has a lot less than normal.

You should do it Sunday so I can come with and watch. Will you pull the lil trailer now since you the airbags? Their could very well be some money involved. :face-icon-small-hap

Haha... Kinzer i wont climb it friday, I promise! What it the snow like right now in depth as compared to when this picture was taken? I wish I could give you a better idea Neil, halfway was probly actually more snow than when i rode it in febuary last year and the two areas are only 2 hours apart...

Loserfilms dont worry the snow snow is not bad at all in revy actually, ive just had this trip planned anyway for some time. Revy just has not had any fresh in two weeks so we complain because usaully we are spoiled with fresh pow every week!!!

that pic was taken pretty late in the year last year aprilish... judging by the snow pack everywhere else though i would say there should definately be enough to pull it though... high boost waste gate actuator is going on in the morning. how long you think my sled will stay together at 18-20lbs? should be fuN!

Thanks for the reply. We always have a good time in Revy no matter how deep the snow. McCall has the most snow in this area right now. Good luck with the S chute this weekend. Hopefully the weather breaks for you guys so you get some good video.

Some fresh snow recently

Went on a long ride yesterday back past Burgdorf and there was some fresh snow back to the north. Maybe 4 to 6 inches at Secesh Summit and only an inch at Burgdorf but up to a foot at War Eagle.

New maps of a different style are now available on the McCall club web site. Still working on them with more details.
