I was not born yet , but i remember that day in history class. Some people think if Toyota builds that crap in the USA , all of the cash does not go straight to Japan.

You will never catch me sending a huge pile of cash to Japan.:(

Yuppers I bet you live in a log house with dirt floors and heck you don't own a truck, sled or any other motorized vehicle for that matter... wouldn't want to give them darn foreigners any of yer money huh ! LMFAO how do you say ..... hypocrite .....

I know...lets close down those assembly plants here in the US, lord knows there are only Mexicans working there anyway... shouldn't have to big of a negative impact on the local economy there!!! yes sir thats what we should do right ther .....

You guys just need to wait a year...

I have a 2005 Titan crew and love it. I like the comfort, roomy cab, power, towing, etc. All except the fuel mileage! That is why I'm waiting for the 1/2 ton diesels to come. The F150 will be out in the next 12 months and will have a 4.4 liter 300+ HP diesel with a 6 speed that rumors are is approaching 30 MPG freeway. Shortly after that Chevy will introduce their 4.5 liter duramax in the 1/2 ton trucks and the H2. Rumors of a Hino powered Tundra and an International powered Titan follow.

If you only tow 7k or 8k these smaller diesels would be perfect. I plan on buying one when they come out. I'm keeping my mind open to what brand it will be. Shoot, my Titan has more American made parts than most of the big 3.

I did say a HUGE pile of cash. I did grow up on a 1984 RM 80 , i do have to buy alot of things from other countries. I seem to have no choice , everyone seems to love to sell this country down the river.

Did you know we taught Japan how to build a TV , now you cant buy a Plasma from an american company. If you read into this there is some very interesting history on how Japan runs there country.

I am not going to get into a pissing match. I just always try to spend my cash with a company who has a CEO , who has a Social Security # and spends his cash in our country.

I will never buy a car truck or anything that costs 50K from Japan ,China, Russia,North Korea, Venezuela, call me crazy.

I know i am way off topic so i will shut up .:face-icon-small-sad

COUGH COUGH BULLCHIT COUGH!!!! 30 MPG MFA:rolleyes: I have an 08 Powerstroke and Ford and the other dsl makers have A LONG way to go to get anywhere near 30MPG with the current EPA regs. What a farking joke the new EPA rules are. CHOKE out the soot at the expense of 1/3 the MPG.

Anyone know the towing capabilities of the Honda Ridgeline?:face-icon-small-hap I wonder if I could fit a Polaris Ranger 6X6 in the bed?oops wrong thread:beer;:D

There is no such thing as a national economy anymore....and if there is, the US economy is the LAST one meeting such a description. The consumer marketplace is simply too diverse, and a complex machine like a truck or a snowmobile is assembled in location X, Y, or Z with parts coming from locations A through W.

The 50K for a Tundra gets chipped at a LOT before it ever crosses an ocean, and the 50K for a GM sure doesn't obey borders.

Buy what you want to buy, but you're only kidding yourself if that's your justification.

Hell, the oil and gas for your truck and toys comes from countries you're at war with RIGHT NOW, let alone 50 years ago.....gonna stop buying that too?

I think for a guy that doesn't have to pull a trailer very much that truck will be great. I have never pull with a tundra but I have passed some while I was pulling does that count?

Well the $4.16 a gallon diesel prices finally did me in. Went in and traded the cummings in on a Tundra. It certianly is the nicest interior and riding truck I have ever owned. But I can't help but think I am going to miss the grunt of cummings.

My question is who is pulling with this truck? How does it handle a 4 place enclosed?

This should be in fouled plug!

This should be in fouled plug!

HMMM? Questions about how well a truck will pull a 4 place SNOWMOBILE trailer should be in fouled plug?

Please enlighten me as to what exactly should be in the General section then?

Your "Togwotee web cam hogs " should be in the general section beacuse??????????????????????????

Really? I didn't know we were at war with Mexico and Canada? The US gets less than 25% of its oil from the middle east. Besides, I am pretty sure Iraq isn't producing much if any oil right now. Who are you talking about?

Thanks for reaffirming what everyone already new Ouraysledder .... you my friend are an azzhat! Never once looked for nor do I want justification. Believe it or not I did some checking all on my own before making my purchase and didn't rely on input from baglappers to make my decision... Tell me, is it some sort of small man/little penis envy thing you got going on? What exactly is that compels people like you to do nothing but bash on everything that anyone else has that isn't exactly like what you have? .... Since I am not getting info on my original question we might as well turn this into some sort of Dr. Phil thing.... talk to me Ouray what makes you so angry? Were you abused as a little boy? Did the nice preacher man make you sing into his little mic? Did all of the other kids call you a pillow biter ? Don't worry they were just calling a spade a spade!!!!

Nottautard, you are my hero... when I finally grow an alter, I want it to be just like you!!!! ;)

Get a grip dip$hit. You are the idiot who went and bought a truck first then asked how it would tow, how friggen stupid is that? Then I add to the stupid thread and you get pi$$ed? Grow up man, you brought this $hitstorm on yourself.

Well from reading posts in the fouled plug section, seems like we are at war with mexico, war with its people coming here!

and i think he generally means were waging war on the middle eastern countries and there is alot of oil of there....

I read most of this post but it is long.

I had the option of getting a toyota or a new body style gmc sierra.

I ended up going with the sierra. Gas in BC is $1.25 per litre and climbing. I have a boat which weighs nearly 3200lbs and tow often. I drop in fuel economy but no too much. I am also running 22" wheels with 325/40-22's which also rob a bit of power. I have a k&n cold air intake and a superchips tuner.

I am getting more and more impressed with the gmc truck. On the highway i'm getting over 700 km to 90 litres of fuel with the 22's. Close to 800 with the 20's. The truck handles great with the sport suspension package and stays really flat in the corners.

When test driving the tundra i found some cheap things in the interior. The door pockets, plastic heater knobs, body roll, plastic insert on top of the grille etc. I like the tundra but I like the sierra better, and at 10 miles to a gallon I will keep the GMC. Great on fuel and personally like the looks better too.

dip$hit, idiot, stupid .... wow, hope you didn't hurt the pee brain of yours thinking of that witty retort right there buddy.... and I fixed your add remark for ya ;)

You are right...I bought a new truck that I have not pulled with before...hence the NEW part... and then I ask for feedback from people WHO HAVE pulled with this type of truck WHICH YOU HAVE NOT yet you feel the overwhelming need to justify your purchase buy bashing mine.... HMMMM lets see who is the mature one here???? LOL

My point was , Rick Wagoner makes 6-9 Mil a year. He pays income tax on 6-9 Mil per year . The CEO in japan pays zero dollars income tax to the US . If Rick Wagoner and Robert Lutz spend every penny of there multi million dollar salary's in other countries ,they pay income tax on all of that income none the less.

If i send all of my money to Japan , none of those CEO's pay income tax to the USA. None of that money will go to pay for freeways, schools, bridges, snowplows, ect, ect, ect.

What part of this is so hard to understand? If you send all of your money some where else , those funds wont be there to build the new school your kid would of got to go to . Your kid will get to stay in the old school , no income tax dollars from offshore CEO's.

If the offshore company builds a better truck i can drive for longer with less cost then i can use the money to put towards his college education, rather than repair/ buying new vehicle from GM....

Just a little info about your Rick Wagner:

In April 2005 Wagoner took back personal control of GM's North American car division in light of its poor performance. In early June 2005 Wagoner announced that GM in the United States would close several plants and shed 25,000 employees (17% of GM's U.S. workforce) by 2008. The cuts will result in GM production reducing output by one million cars and trucks (from 6,000,000 to 5,000,000).

Notice they point out "(17% of GM's U.S. workforce)" Not one person in GM's Canada

Mexico

Europe

Latin America

Asia-Pacific

Africa

Middle East

Plants were laid off....Tell me again how he isn't profiting from foreign countries ????
