you guys that "my wife says I have to"

I HAD a friend for about 5 years and everytime there was something going on it was "gotta ask my wife" or "I cant keep the boat my wife says it has to go". Well I have had enough. Yesterday he came in and said to me "we need to talk". I thought this should be good.

Anyway not to go on about our business deal but the jist of it was he was unhappy with our arrangement that we made several years ago and instead of saying HE was unhappy with it. He said "my wife says Im being treated unfairly". I finally asked him if there was one thought that he could muster up of his very own or were they all his wives, and then asked him to send her in to talk to me if she was going to conduct his business. This didnt go over so well. I lost a pal over this one but he really was not much of a pal after all.

Just had to vent cause I see those ads in the for sale section here that start out "my wife says it has to go"......Please you guys grow a pair. rant over.

I "had" a wife like that and Ive known guys who would use it as an excuse like that. either way a more manly pair is in order !

My wife says you should have worked out the issues with your buddy/business partner and not be so worried about his other partner and their arrangment.

If you had an arrangement and one of them decided to change there mind trying to renig on the deal. Best thing you could do is tell them to shove it up there azz. Teach them how you use a set a balls and how to be responsible. Friends don't do that chit.

overall my wife is very lenient with all I do and all I buy (sleds, boats, guns, jet skiis) so I'm lucky. Unloaded the boat and jet ski last year and she was actually bummed. Bought and sold 'em all without even letting her know they were on thier way although she would probably send me packin' if I ever showed up with a motorcycle.

........but a busines deal is a business deal and when the spouse (either one) inserts themselves into a biz relationship it is never good. This is why biz owners are willing to spend a small fortune on life insurance policies and/or disability policies to buy out the others interest in the event of death or disability...in other words you never want to inherit your business partners spouse as your new business partner.....a complete disaster.

A small part of my business involves a biz relationship that is based on an arrangement that I would NOT make today but 9 years ago when I was just starting out it was an attractive opportunity. With regard to this one particular aspect of the biz I, and my wife for that matter, would never think of going back on our word/handshake from 9 years ago.

At the end of the day all you have is your reputation and nothing else. Big mistake on his part to let his wife send him in to revisit a previous biz deal. Big mistake. You're right, you are better off without him.

Hopefully she doesn't decide to revisit her marriage down the road.

Haha We will see what happens in a few years. Bet you 100 bucks ill still have the pants on haha

Oh, I have the pants, and I wear what I want. Is every night June and Ward Cleever? F*ck no. I do alot of arguing about what I want.

I have been with my wife for 23 years married for 13 and I gave up along time ago....she is constantly telling me what/how/when to do something....it never ends!

A few examples...

Winter is just around the corner...your going to need a sled and I mean "NEW" not some beat up new to you sled.

I see you are putting the sleds away for the year...how about picking up a new fifth wheel so we can enjoy summer just as much.

I see your friend got a new boat....you should probably get one so you guys can hang on the lake.

I feel much better with you at home with kids rather then dumping them off at some strangers...you just stay home and enjoy the kids...I'll work extra hard so we have all the money to get what you guys need.

blah blah blah.....I swear she never quits!!!!!
