Yamaha Rhino in the hotseat. Are sleds next?

Snowmobilers already pay for it

Snowmobilers are already paying for these lawsuits. A large chunk of that $10,000++ cost of a new mountain sled is to cover the product liability.

they didnt start having lawsuits untill yamaha put doors on them. they put the doors on so when somone that is dumb enough to roll it wont stick their foot out.

Why is it that when a person is at work they "can't do that cause I have not been trained" but when they get home everything is fair game?

Too much of this safety **** is ruining Darwin's theory

Do you see that slavery breed blacks to be stronger, faster and now they own sports, protecting stupid people will have a similar outcome just the exact opposite. Soon people will be suing bubble gum companies cause they can't walk at the same time.

You gotta be kidding?

not kidding just proving a point. (of how stupid some people are)
When you grow up with toys that will hurt and kill you soon figure it out. Dont do stuff that will hurt .
If your parents "saved you from yourself " all your life you just have to have someone or something to blame so you call 1800suethem and wait for the cash to come pouring in.
If I f-up I pick up the parts and I deal with the pain. If I F-up somone else and its my fault I take care of it. Its about being a man not a sheep

1 - People like your friend are the problem.
They see an opportunity to "get rich quick" and take it without any
regard as to what the ramifications are to the rest of society.

2 - Lawyers that pursue these cases are the problem.
They evidently cannot make an honest living litigating, so they
make a dishonest living at our expense.

I love my Rhino & plan on updating it one day, tell your friend "Thanks" for
forcing price increases to these products. Thanks alot!

Well said !!

Also, very well said !!

Question: Does this go back to the theroy that "Stupid people shouldn't breed"?

Who is really to blame?

Even more then the bottom feeder lawyers and the idiots that are apparently just smart enough to not sh!t their pants, there is one group that is really to blame for all this.

It is the JUDGE that rules in favor of this crap!

Here is someone that (supposedly) has nothing to gain from the outcome, and should have everyones best interest in mind, but they continually fail to make the right call. They have the ability to call bs, and make the gold digger pay the manufacturers legal fees, but they don't. Why? I don't know, but there must be some money involved somehow. Or maybe not, I guess they might just be that dumb!

Good point.

I am also be wildered as to why judges & juries rule on the consumers side on these cases.

I would guess that they empathize with the "little guy" vs the "big corporation" with little or no regard as to what the right decision really is.
I guess it gives them a warm fuzzy when they can award millions to some stupid shetball.
After all, it's a big corporation, they can afford it, right?

I have an 06 rhino, no safety doors, absolutely love it, and am planning on another. I dont like the doors as they limit my legroom(I am not a little dude). I like the ability to just jump out, and consider the doors a safety issue as they may limit my ability to move quick to shoot the grouse on the trail ahead of me. LOL!

LC-if your freind seriously hurt himself, than I am sorry to hear it. But....it was not the rhino's fault, the fault was his. Common sense really can go a long way in this world, in other words......."maybe I should not try to turn too sharp going too fast, as I may flip the machine" or....."trying to test the limits of the machine is not a good idea as I am not smart enough to know better right now" or maybe....."I should read the safety manual before I ride this high powered toy?"

When I am President, these lawsuits will no longer happen, because it hurts everyone but the maroon who is seeking free money.

too bad yamaha can't countersue people for being bad drivers

wow

These people sueing over rhinos is insane. I am seventeen now and when i was fifteen i happened to roll a rhino. I was on flat ground! Because i race motocross my first reaction was to put my leg out and as a result of this my ankle was smashed. My ankle was broken in five spots, and ya wanna know what it was all MY fault. There was no way Yamaha could have prevented it. I now have over 3,000 miles behind the wheel of a rhino and not another accident. I can not fathom how these people feel as though it was Yamaha's fault. If the consumer used the machine as Yamaha designed it to be used there would be no accidents. People seem to think that Yamaha is wanting to see them hurt. In every rhino accident case there has EVER been it was the consumers fault no ifs ands or buts about it. I was fifteen when i was hurt and could figure this out how come these older people cant seem to do the same?

You should sue your spell checker:rolleyes:

And the PUSSIFICATION of America continues....Lets not take any responsiblity for our actions, but lets BLAME someone else and of course SUE!!

EXACTLY.....A retard can hurt himself in a rocking chair.....Let's sue the Amish Dutchman who built it....LOL

There is a 5 gallon bucket in my garage, and on it is an illustration (safety warning)of a dead child upsidedown in a half-filled bucket of liquid, with a line through it. I'm told that all buckets that size must have the warning on them.

If a kid is dumb enough to drown in a bucket of water, we're probably better off without him. What do you think the kid's next act of genius would be?? Throwing LAWN DARTS STRAIGHT UP INTO THE AIR AND WATCHING THEM COME DOWN ON HIS HEAD??

In case you haven't noticed, I enjoyed lawn darts until some RETARDS had them BANNED due to THEIR stupidity.

Sorry if this all sounds a bit mean, but this is one of my pet peeves.

And don't even get me started about the bike helmets....If you rolled into the neighborhood where I grew up, wearing a bicycle helmet and pads, someone would beat the $hit out of you and take your bike.

We're dumbing down the herd here.....We're never going to keep people from hurting themselves even if we ban EVERYTHING.......People will STILL find ways to hurt themselves......Can't ban gravity, can we??

My sledding buddy came by today. He told me he had just gone out to see a friend of ours son who had lost his arm in a Rhino accident just recently. Smashed it between the wrist and elbow. They tried to fix it up but it was making him sick so they took it off. I don't know if they are mad at Yamaha or not? He is 14 or 15. I don't think he is a retard or stupid. He did have have an accident though, everybody does now and then.
