There was a service bulletin on the throttle issue. Might check DooTalk for early season posts-Nov/Dec. About the same time as the gas tank issue. Might be some sleds didn't get fixed properly. Doo is getting famous for miscues-this one sounds life threatening!

About how many miles did you have on it before it did that? I have about 100 on mine and both days have been WOT climbing through trees and up very steep hills. No problems to date other than the crappy intake and that problem has been fixed! Is the cable getting pinched? Maybe I could squirt some cable lube (the same stuff I use on my Dirt bike) down the cable casing? What do I need to look for?

I had a frozen throttle on one of my new 600's last year. Told the dealer about it said I wanted it replaced it a safty issue, he looked at it in his nice warm shop and said I can't see the problem and would not replace it.

was the throttle spring modded?... lot of damage from tree climbing... how fast was it moving?

i have seen damage from a cut spring before, but never had my stocker stick yet

hope everything turns out ok

My throttle stuck on 2nd ride (4ft powder), luckily it happened after stopping for a minute, when I went to take off again a burped the throttle and thumb lever didn't return all the way. Hit kill switch and then worked throttle a couple times while smacking it with glove to work snow out of mechanism. Was more a snow build up freezing issue then cable problem. Haven't had any problems since
