xp or d8

i have an xp 163, last years' 700 dragon (piped, reeds, head, clutching), and a 1000 nightfire....overall handling in the deep, up-hill, down-hill etc., the m-1000 is first choice, up-hill racing/high mark, m-1000 is also first choice....if the terrain is tighter due to trees, exploring at slower speeds, shorter hills, good slow/medium speed acceleration and climbing, the xp it better, also in deep snow where exhaust and intake plugging is an issue, the xp shines....the dragon is easy to ride, i have fewer mechanical issues with it, on the power it's a blast, well set-up out of the box or by my dealer with the things i did to it....stuck the 1000 sucks, the dragon is ok, but the xp is definitely easiest to get unstuck....out of the box, the dragon is easiest to get set-up to my liking, the xp was next easiest and the 1000 was hardest with exhaust/intake bogging/plugging issues, clutching about the same as the xp....and the dd on the cats have issuses with dependability, although next years will have an electrical reverse and should eliminate most problems....like several others have said, dealer satisfaction is big part of the decision, as is production design/quality....get one and ride....

Like I said before. The D8 is a great sled and a huge improvment over the 900rmk but it still feels like an old style sled. I really like the stove in that thing too!!!

Too bad it's such a dated design..........
