My reaction to what I've read concerning Washington Wolves on this forum
« on: Yesterday at 03:41:55 PM »

First of all, my stance in that Wolves not only belong here(in my state of Washington and all of the United States), but they have more of a right to be here than we(white europeans) do. The wolves along with the Natives were here long before us, and out of greed and religous insanity were a plague on them as well as the North American ecology.

What I've read here, truly disgusts me. "Shoot them all! Wolves don't belong here!", and the sort shows the true ignorance of you psuedo-hunters. How about this, you shoot a Wolf, and we'll shoot YOU. There are those of us that have high hopes for natures population controllers to return to these regions. You people don't want Wolves to return because you have no skills for hunting the most healthy and elusive Elk/Deer, so you depend on the sick and old to hunt. The Wolves are whole kept populations from over-producing. When Elk/Deer are overpopulated(like they are now), they eat all the tree saplings and keep new trees from growing. Theres also the damage of over-grazing and other ecological hurt that comes with the world without Wolves. You people, for the most part, are not hunters. Wolves hunt to survive. THEY are the true hunters. The Native Americans and Inuiets of the north followed the Wolf and learned their ways of hunting from the skills of the Wolf. There are countless ancient religions and cults based on the teachings of the Wolf. But white christians single-handedly destroyed that with paranoia, greed and insanity. The Wolf was a symbol of great knowledge, but Christianity turned it into a false symbol of evil. And you people are all ignorant fools that pretend to hunt but are tainting the skill with foolishness and greed. The Wolves will return, know this, they will return. They are already here. And there are those of us that will go to no end to protect them from the likes of the fool.

Here is some more news on the Phantom Hill Pack - Sun Valley's poster pack. Apparently they have went on a killing spree and killed 12 sheep in one night, even with the hippies trailing the sheep around trying to keep them safe. Now it looks like they may be on the exterminiation list. That will be guarenteed to get the Suzanne Stones and the Rahph Maughans all riled up.

Off to see if Ralphie has a blog post about this. It will be fun to watch him whine.

Nice. I hope that it sticks.

Countdown until Aug 31st when Montana tags go on sale...I hope at that point they can't stop it.

Our quota is only 75 animals.

That dude on the huntingwashington.com must live in Seattle. Lol. If I could hunt year round for my meat I would go through a little less than half of the beef I do now.

The only place I'm for reinstating wolves is seattle. because they have more of a right to be there over the over populated whack jobs that live there.

So if everyone does there part and tags only the 3rd one we should be good to go :beer; wonder how long it will take before the wolfs get wise. They have had it pretty relaxed, but now that there fair game. I want to get one they tie it to the hood and go have lunch at the mint in hailey :D

I-90 Wolf

I was going to work Sat morning and saw a wolf just west of the Dry Creek exit. (about 5 miles west of Superior) It was in the median and wasn't bothered by all the morning traffic at all. It looked to be VERY well fed. I've seen them out in the woods......but this is the first time I've seen one on the Interstate...

I hope it didn't leave too big of a dent???

I got news for Idaho 225 is not even close to 1/4 of the population. They don't have any clue how many Wolves are out there. I hope everybody shoots until they don't see any Wolves standing. The problem with these damn Wolves is they are here now and even if they declaired open season on them like coyotes we still wouldn't be able to kill them all off.

You need to understand that the 225 number is a good number as it is a viable number that the feds can agree on, thus allowing the pro-wolf advocates little chance of getting an injunction. A couple years down the road the number can be increased as the threat of injunction goes away. It is smart politics and I like the number.

I am a sportsman and probably a real environmentalist but not a bleeding heart tree hugging type and live in the canyons at the toe of the Wind Rivers but only 4 miles from town. I have had wolves howl within 500 feet of my house at 4 in the afternoon. My thinking is why not let Yellowstone, Grand Teton and all have the wolves protected to the hilt but outside that area they would be predators just like coyotes. That is what they led us to believe we were getting when they started all this but then the PETA types took over and since then everyone lost all common sense . Now it seems like if a wolf is killed in Nebraska, that is destroying Yellowstone wolves. Let people go to Yellowstone to see the bears and wolves and let the rest of us have our old lives back.

Not only that, but no matter what they set the quota at, I doubt that there will be more than 100 wolves killed and tagged this season. They are not easy to see, let alone get a shot at. No sense setting a high quota that will further a lawsuit when you have little chance of obtaining that quota to begin with.
