Picture supposedly taken in Wyoming. Although you never know with emails. How the hell would you ever mistake one for a coyote?

How do you know they are actually dead?

Maybe they wandered up and wanted a shot at being on Dancing With the Stars?

I'm not real familer with where the Hoback "Rim" is but that is where they were takin. I'm guessing alpine to jackson area?? They tracked them on their sleds for about 35 miles before they cought them in an opening and took them down. I read the story on a internet site of a news paper in the star valley area a couple days ago. Hopefully the elk will come back, i'm getting sick of archery hunting for 10 days of pure hiking and only seeing a few raghorns. And it takes 15 years to get a tag in utah where there is great quality and quantity..... Hopefully wolves will stay open to kill....

wyoming wolves

That is what I had heard as well. Those things definitely take their toll on the elk. I don't know what the latest elk numbers are in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, but last I saw they were down quite a bit.

according to a buddy of mine with fwp the elk herd in yellowstone is the oldest heard in mt. virtually no calves for the last 4 yrs:mad:

and the wolves in id have moved the elk from around challis into the wisdom area with the wolves right behind:mad:

i have been going thru the park for 13 years, several times a year and the elk #'s have declined steadly for sure--the Big Horns have no wolves and the elk cow to calf ratio is about 80 %--the park survival is about nothing--go figure:mad::eek::confused:

Interesting pics, no blood sign, or sled damage:rolleyes:. How were they taken down? Makes ya kinda wonder if it's true. If it is true Congrats. And yes the herds for elk and deer are are on the decline in all 3 states around Jellystone.

Here is what the F&G and animal activists all accross this country try to sweep under the rug about the "TRUE" tactics and "FACTS" about wolves.

Facts are facts folks, they are only going to get worse as each day passes.

I wonder how NYorkers would feel if a pack was unleashed in Central Park? They were once native to every state way back when. There is a reason all of our grandfathers and greatgrandfathers did away with them. They are a WORTHLESS animal!!!! Plain and simple.
