Who thinks flatlanders cant ride

Well...the first flat lander I know rides good...RuffRyder got skillz...but I would bet he would say that the hills are tougher that the trailer and ditches after todays ride.

an open mountain usually boils down to horsepower.boondocking technical steep hills require lots of skills and guts to pull off!! don't know much about the gullys of those powerlines but when the sled gets away is it a total loss?

I'll take a wild guess and say you're probably around 16 maybe even 17 and dream of having a turbo sled someday (hence the user name) Or maybe you just ride Daddy's turbo when he's not around and since no one else will attest to your vast mountain riding prowess you feel the need to tell everyone that You are a flatlander and you can ride....

Am I pretty close?

I'll appologize up front if you are mentally handicapped or maybe only about 12 years old on your mommy's computer just trying to be a big boy.

If not...You are soon to become a legend in your own mind BonerBoy;)

Can I get a Beer please, I'm out, I do have some popcorn though:p

was this post neccessary? just ignore the kid..

:D
Flatlanders can ride just as good as anybody on any mountain

I have only been riding with one Iowa flatlander who can ride. And by ride I mean (I don't have to worry about where I take him). The rest we keep on the trail or the Hills that my five year old thinks are fun:D:D:beer;

Flatlanders?

First off, who cares if your a flatlander or not. Just so your having fun and being safe. The last time out west my friend and I were boon docking when a couple of locals saw us. We stopped to talk with them, and they asked what part of Montana we were from. They were surprised to hear that we were from MN. We ended up riding around with them and had a great time the rest of the day. So just have fun and be safe.

h3ll, i've been riding the mtns for ~10 yrs and i still suck! haha always runnin into trees, gettin stuck, rollin my sled.. lol

Just sounds like you ride the mountains to me, maybe I'm wrong but if you never get stuck, never roll your sled or occasionally run into or over trees what was the point of going.

Most of the mountain riders I have ridden with push the envelope often enough that the rest of the group gets to do the good buddy thing, you know point and laugh. And sometimes you pull off stuff that you look back at and say hmmm thats sick how did I pull that off.

Here is a 2 good "Mountain" climbs I did. You wanna follow? I am waiting......

Sharky that climb kills me every time I see it. Would have loved to been a eyewitness. As far as flat landers not able to ride the mountains I call BS. If your used to riding deep powder you can ride the mountains. Problem is the Midwest gets very few deep powder days.

ttt :D that time of year again

I remember something about not pokin' a dead dog with a stick or somethin'?

No, it was let sleeping dogs lie! :D

Dammit Nate, Just had to dig up the old "Boner boy" or was it "Boost goose"
or boost my goose or...goose me in the booster?

(I had forgot all about this post until I just wasted 15 minutes re-reading it again!)

I think all us western states guys should sponsor a midwest flatlander rider out here for a week or two this winter and spread the wealth a bit.
We're all sledders afterall. (I don't have dibs on the boner boy)!!!!

I think it would be a blast to see how different the riding styles are and to see how much fun a guy who has never ridden in the Mts has for his first trip up.

all i know is i need to get a prescription to clear up this mid west infection thats in the snowies! haha lmao funny chit but true!

I'll tell ya how that happened. From the mid 90's to early 2000 most of us guys that loved to ride made lots of trips to Upper Michigan, Northern MN, and southern Ontario/Manitoba. Once it started to get real busy, and you almost got hit head on a few times a day you decided enough is enough.

Then you make one trip out west, ride the steep and deep and NEVER make another trip north again.

The Snowies just happen to be the first (good) Mountain range you come to as you head west. And after riding several other western States you realize that it dont get any better so there is no need to spend more time/money driving farther.

Hope that cleared it up for ya :) Eric......Iowa Flat Lander!

I second this, better to stay south of the border. Don't come north!

Please don't judge us midwest people from guys like the one that started this thread. Crap like this thread makes it hard for the some of the locals to have any respect for us "flatlanders" that come to "their" snowmobile locations.

Some of us midwest people love the mountains as much as the guys that have the mountians in there backyard.

And most of us, atleast me do not even ride their sleds in the flats.

This guy just thinks he is funny starting sh1t like this thread......

Well I'll tell you. I use to think I knew how to ride. 120 down the trail 3 sheets to the wind. Very rarely passed. Then I grew up and smelled the roses. Now I enjoy back country riding and the mountains out west. My first trip there I found out that mountain riding is a whole differant thing. My knees didn't stop knocking for a whole week. My hats off to you carzy bastages. As everyone knows if you have to tell someone how great you ride you probably lost the race. I look forward to riding out west this year and hope to learn allot more. But I am wise enough to know there is always someone better. Heck its just fun to watch them ride. I don't mind trying carzy things but cannot afford to get hurt. And yes there are some flatlanders who can ride with the best of them but it's hard for the average guy to compete with the guys who ride all the time. As for the young guys, I just wish I knew as much now as I did when Iwas there age because I knew everything back then. So give them a little break they are still looking for their place in the field and they will grow out of it.

haha i think most of the dudes i ride with off of snowest are FLATLANDERS! lol i cant even remember all of them, i dont care what the land looks like where your from.
