- 98 summit-x rode it for 2 years, never a hitch, motor wise.
- 2000 Highmark 700. rode for 2 1/2 years, replaced pistons after 3000 miles, cylinders like new. rode for another 2 1/2 years, sold it to a friend, it is still going strong, I bet it has7000 miles on it now.
- 2005 rev 162. 3500 miles on it and it still runs like new. Did the typical rings at 1500 miles, and it looked like a new motor inside.
Slim, which sled had the big bore, the zx, or the Rev?? or both?
My zx has trail porting with crankshop pipes.
My rev has just trail porting.
I run FRESH premium fuel every ride.
My 670 x blew the odd belt.
My other sleds, I have never blown a belt. EVER!
I inspect every day I ride, and if it looks like it needs changing, it becomes my back up belt.
I agree that doo has to smarten up, and get their act together. Other than the usual, typical doo issues, like floppy boards, bad carb boots, flaking rings, etc, the sleds I had were good.
