Which used sled for $4-5k

I am thinking of buying a used mountan sled for around 4-5k or less. have been thinking of a raw rmk 600 early m series, probobly m7 or a rev
The only one of these I have ridden is my freinds 04 rev summit 800 144 I came of an edge rmk and I was impressed by how the rev stays on top of the snow at slow speeds compared to my edge, how do the Ms and raw rmks compare? for the purpose of this post I want to discuss wich will get/ stay on the snow better and not get stuck riding trees. also are any of the older 2 stroke yammis worth comparing to the sleds I mentioned?

M7

try to pick up a lightly used 05 or 06 M7, seems like too many headaches with the reversable diamond drives on the 07 and 08's. I've never ridden a sled that gets up on the snow so easily. I spent some time on an 07 600 RMK
155" and that was a very nice sled as well. Not a big fan of the revs, both sleds that friends owned were totaled out after minor hits(flying nuns).:face-icon-small-sho

They are all good sleds. I would base your choice on which one is the most comfortable for you, is in the best used condition, and has good local dealer support. If you go with a Raw chassis Polaris, the 600 and 700 sleds are all great runners.

I would get a 07 m1000 a stock one with higher miles is around $4500-$5000

best bang 4 your buck

00 or 01 yamaha mountain max 700 or viper 700 pick one up for 2 to 3 grand put tripple pipes on it and you will have the meanest soundin sled out there that will run with any 800 without a turbo.

With motors I know what to expect, but I am wondering how the mm or viper chasis compares to the newer sleds, I really liked how slow you could go with the rev in the deep stuff in tight trees over my edge rmk but the doo motors make me nervous I have towed out too many of them, I would like the chassis though. I really dnt care about getting the highmark or winning a drag race and I love the sound of a tripple

m7

tripples do sound nice but you also have the extra weight of the extra cylinder, the best sled ive ever owned is a 05 m7, it wont beat some of the bigger cc sleds, but you dont feel like you have been screwin a fat chick at the end of the day...

The cats a great machines. I Personally I like how the rev handles the deep stuff better. I also like the power range of the 800ho. I don't like how the m7's are all or nothing as far as the throttle goes. I find the doo motors to be some of the most reliable out there. Their biggest downfall is the stock clutching. With a good clutch kit they work well. Might not out climb a kitty kat, but they pull hard, float well, handle great, and are no slouch in the highmark comp
