Which oil do you guys run?

Pull the power valve out and start rubbing the slot without oil

Honey, I think you can just get the Extra light olive oil. I think your wasting your money buying the virgin stuff......:D

Ah, so you've noticed that the non-virgin stuff works better? Works more for it's price tag. Is this what you are saying?? ;)

How come this thread isn't as funny as it has been in years past??? :(

I have found in my travels that non-virgin is by far the better choice. Much easier to find, costs less, no sticky seal to worry about, causes less pre-ignition & you can get advice from other riders who have used it.

blue marble synthetic

i've been running this for 2-3 years now but i've had a dealer tell me it's not very good, it leaves a sticky residue on the crankshaft, what do other think about blue marble

Blue marbles and sticky residue on the crankshaft? Listen to the others and stay away from virgin oil...I think extra light olive oil would help if you have a 4 stroke...they need all the light weight stuff they can get.

what about the quicker ones, you know the ones that take only the 2 strokes?

Amsoil Interceptor.

I keep telling myself that I won't waste my time checking the valves, but I still do. I haven't had to clean 'em since '06, when we bought the sleds (used) from a Ski-Doo dealer/rental outfit. Once the valves were cleaned, and the oil tank was drained of whatever the prior owner was using, the valves have not needed cleaning.

I STILL check them pre-season though, just for peace of mind.

I always thought a power valve was a pro wrestling move????
They have those on sleds????

As for oil I just go to MickyD's and use their left over oil from the fry maker, my sled smells like french fries.:)
I have the Jenny Craig group chasing me all day.

not this thread again........ugh......does someone not have a link to the old site........been talked to death too many times........by the way my stock sled has 300 HP.......ugh
