Which oil do you guys run?

Amsoil Interceptor.

I keep telling myself that I won't waste my time checking the valves, but I still do. I haven't had to clean 'em since '06, when we bought the sleds (used) from a Ski-Doo dealer/rental outfit. Once the valves were cleaned, and the oil tank was drained of whatever the prior owner was using, the valves have not needed cleaning.

I STILL check them pre-season though, just for peace of mind.

Mark set me up with some dealer pricing talked to allot of guys running it and did my research before switching over from Amsoil everyone had only excellent things to say about this oil most said they picked up a good amount of Rpm's and the oil smoke was almost nill plus it smells great and power valves were super clean. He does most his biz by word of mouth so the oil is not well known as others but used by allot of places back east.

Jeff C[/B];948350]I am very concerned about my power valves getting sticky. I was told by my dealer that I need to run their oil otherwise my power valves will stick.

I have a hunch this might not be true.

What are you guys running?

By the way, what are power valves?

I use cod liver oil, helps keep things cleaned out too.

Well I run Archer oil products in my stuff because it's the best and I'm a dealer for Archer so I get paid or sponshered to use it. Use the arpeco 15-40w in the combine and neweer tractors and my truck. Archer gold in the wife's car. Archer supreme straight weight oils in the older tractors. In my sleds I run archer 2 cycle oil and I have had trouble with my power valves in any of my sleds-01 700 rmk,90 indy 500,indy400. I run archer universal fluid in all my chaincases and I haven't had to port a single chain case.:face-icon-small-coo

you gotta watch the powervalves in these models, they were very tempermental and very bad for valves sticking with the slightest build up on them. i recommend cleaning them between every ride for best performance.:)
