Which is better for boondocking?

The video of the M* with the CPC kit is sick, I rode the prototype 09 M8 last year I am 6'5 250 and all you had to do was think about where you wanted the sled and it went there just a little pressure here and a little there. I pulled the turn the thing around on a steep hill and go back up and it was easy. Given I am used to riding a "tank" of a Tcat but the M8 was a blast and very easy to ride. It was my first ride on a newer chassis and it felt very natural and easy to handle. I was suprised that the 8 felt like it had good power on the top end, I was expecting good bottom end on a twin but it pulled much harder on the top than I expected, still not a triple but first sled I would be willing to swap out my Tcat for

i think the diamond drive is the reason the AC sleds dont feel like they have the lowend they should... but they rip hard on the topend it doesnt matter...

and firecat guy, i doubt he saved it, but hes a pretty consistant member of teem tree slayer around here... my dads M7 bent the bulkhead back a little and the a-arm was still totally straight, trust me i know there strong

huh? the diamond drive has nothing to do with bottom end grunt..... the m7 just doesnt make good number unless your wide open i rode them lots they need a on off switch...

nice rippin, that's what I like to see some of my favorite kind of riding. Big smile here!

Thats the type of riding we would do on a hill that guys on XP's would be shooting straight up and straight down. We would see them Doo'ing a hill and go do circles around their high-marks! Priceless!

That is why my vote goes for the M for the best boondocker!

That makes me twice as excited to be riding an M sled for It's superior handling. :D I love to do that kind of stuff but It takes so much more to yank the XP over and sidehill/carve.

ACmtnCat, Do you have CPC's porting and head also?

The XP pulls over sweet in deep powder, not so much in a foot or less and you better be ready for it to flip back up right. SCARY!!! The M is just predictable or should I say controlable.

I do have CPC porting and billet head.

Yep the Extreme is the ticket! Although, I am going to try out the super duper ultra sweet Power Claw and see how it compares.

JAWS twins? NO. Everything is CPC! Thus the CPC Nightfire.

I bet a shot of Nitrous would realy be sweet with that setup too. :D:beer;:D

Did all the installation myself, and sold all the take offs. Total cost$12,000

Nitrous is next. Lookin for something that fits the bill.

PM'd you also.

If you want the best of the best, get the new Polaris Assault 800. Like they advertise, the first sled built specifically for boondocking. I ride a 900 RMK166" and have rode tons of rental A/C M-6,7,8's, Don't get me wrong they do handle well but my Polaris is easier to throw around with 70ish pounds of extra weight. Make that weight the same as the cat and wow! Then remove the sway bar as done on the Assault.... I wouldn't know what to think! even if they did widen the stance 2 inches.

IMO the Polaris IQ chassis can't be beat for the ease of handling,

2nd would go to the original rev, swaybar or not, but I hate the seats on them, its too wide,

3rd I would hand off to the M-series, I think a more rider forward would sure help cat, I feel they tip easy enough, but once on their side they don't have much variable, seems like all the way or nothing, they turn 90*'s well but not full circles,

4th would go to the xp's, they like staying flat but once your there, your really there, would like to ride these without a swaybar for a better opinion,

5th Im sure would have to go to an Apex, but I haven't rode a Yami since the RX-1, and Im sure the Phazer or a Nitro would be sweet with a turbo/sc

6th and lower get an indy or something

What color do you like? Orange/green, red/balck, blue/black(doo blue, not Yammy blue-I don't feel right about recommending one:eek:)? Find a good dealer and pick your favorite color. They are all good sleds. The '09 M8 should be even better, so take your pick. I would recommend an XP for ya, but that would be expected:face-icon-small-win
