whats your older favorite sled from 1998 down

post up what your favorite older sled is from 1998 down.
For me i liked the 1997 rmk 700 because those polaris are bullet proof and easy to modify. I want to here what your favorite sled is so post it up

here is a pic of mine you dont have to post pics i just wanted to show you my 97

my 95 mx-z was the fastest sled i ever had. it would beat any 600 there was and would hang with the zr 700. just an impressive motor

hands down....

91' yamaha sno scoot. bullet proof. tree proof. i still have it and it still runs fine. needs s new track in the near future. but thats expected when the sled has about 3 lightyears worth of riding. has been held wide open for hours of riding and ran over rocks, stumps, small trees. never gives out. i kinda want the motor to blow to have an excuse to build a super scoot.

My 98 700 RMK 151, my tunnel is cracked and riveted back together. My skies have jammed the trailing arms back a number of times, the engine has three top end rebuilds, its running twin SLP pipes, boost bottle, power packs, aftermarket seat and tank. The hood is holding on by the last string but i love it and its getting all new bearings on the crank, new top end and a turbo kit. Ill rock that sled untill the track rips in pieces and the tunnel rips in half.

Heres a picture a year ago with the girlfriend riding it.

bullet proof!!!:d

98 700 RMK 136 2 inch track. Favorite all time sled to date. Had a PSI 890 in it at one time which was junk but even with the stock motor it was amazing what that sled would go through and what it would do. I wish Polaris still made those 90 degree bar hooks i had on that sled. I should have never let those go. Hell I should have kept the whole sled.

The last of the truly dependable Skidoo's, 12 years later, only lost 1# of compression and still fast enough to scare anyone. Engine life measured in decades instead of months now it belongs to my son. Now I lay awake at night wondering if my outer crank bearings are out of grease, nice. That's 1000 posts for me, fitting for my favorite sled

I have to agree with this one!

I realize the late 90's RMK's were bulletproof, but for "FUN FACTOR" you
could not beat a s chassis set up correctly!

thanks cheetermtnsports. that sled has a 156 track slp pipe and can, the seat is raised 4 inches higher than stock, geared 18/43 has powder pro skis, and rox grip strips, and a 4 inch riser. there is other stuff to. and i love this sled goes through snow great climbs anything and is reliable

That 94 xlt sks was my first snowmobile that I bought with my own money. (Dad always bought them before that)
I was 18 and my parents co-signed a loan so I could start my credit with the poo xlt.

I had a 96 storm rmk after that, and then the 700 rmk came out and it was such a nice package, light/nimble/blipy on the throttle.

'72 Panther, Kawi 440 engine. Ran the pizz out of it for years as a kid. Other than new track cleats every other ride, it was bulletproof. (And fun as he!! for a kid in Illinois)
'76 Yami Exciter 440. Would "go anywhere" compared to the heavier newer sleds guys were riding. 80+mph out of a 440 fanner, and ski spreaders!
'98 Cat ZRT 600. Only had it 1 year up in WI. Bought it as a insurance wreck w/ 400 mi, dude clipped a deer. After a new seat, hood, 1 pipe, handlebar controls and windshield, it was like new. Rode it about 4000mi that winter. It floated good in the powder (for a 121), waaay better than the XCR600 snow plow I had. Fast! Great suspension. Always started. Only rebuilt the clutches once that year. Only problem was the recoil starter bolts would vibrate loose and fall out. Didn't matter what kind of loctite I used. Got wrecekd in a car accident. (That's okay, 'cause I was in route to moving to CO and would have had to long track it. 151 RMK replaced it, saved some garage time for me!)
