What would you do?

i wouldn't let my limited experience wife go with even less experienced friends any more than i would let my 15 year old daughter go to to cancun with her "think they know everything" girlfriends....it's called wisdom...;)

Thanks for all your post you guys are awesome. So she finally understood that all I wanted was to know the who what why where and whens just Like I give her when I go ride. Which she didn't tell me before. I really don't care if she takes them to trails and stuff I just didn't want anything to happen to any of them. I mean 800 machines and all my wife's friends are around 110 lbs we finally agreed I would start up the cabin for them and go home and come back up and shut it down that way I felt better about them riding cause i knew the trails and she knows the flats fairly well. I did what you said GP I walked her through the sled she changed the plugs and even a belt for me ( with out me making her) Im still iffy just but more about her friends not her Jamie is a very capable rider and My brother took her up bntfl and she held her own even getting her self un stuck. But I think Gp is right I think this will help me get that push she needs. In short we figured it all out.

Thanks again everyone

Kim all of her friends are hot single and yes the pictures are always worth it;)

I also think i just felt left out since she didnt want to go with me but she said its hard to go with me cause on bikes she can keep up and on sled She feels like she is holding me back on my fun. So I told her If you rode with me you would find I talk big but i suck at riding.

Thanks again everyone

So did all the gals weigh in at 110 and under? How the heck do you no? Sorry, but WHO CARES? What is this post about anyway. How you ride, how hot they are or getting your wife out there to ride? And if she wants to go without you, you think she has a boyfriend? Come on, really? LMAO! I wish your wife was a SW member so I could really hear how it is. I like the part you added about how you talk big and you suck at riding. What is up with that? I really don't get you and the way you post. It's a little irritating and I would love to take your wife out and show her how a gal can and will ride right along with most men. She doesn't have to ride and act like a guy to have a good time. But it's nice to just ride and have fun with your friend/partner that you enjoy hanging out with. Sorry, I'm forgetting what this post is about.... Oh yes, her going without you. WHO CARES! Let her, she may hate it and she may learn things you forgot to tell her or teach her. BIG DEAL! I can't wait to hear how it goes. I have more confidence in her than you do and I'm sorry to say that.:mad:

That kinda what she said to me is that I needed to trust her and allow her do her thing so thats what i am doing. I just got a little protective of my sleds. Jamie is a great person and I think we guys kinda put women as they cant do it with out us ( She had my mom give me a talking) But I guess I started this post on what you guys would do it was good to hear the girls view cause the guys see it totally different. Its like my mom said whats the difference if they wreck it vs Me wreaking it either way its still gets wreaked. And all the confusing crap I was just trying to show we figured it all out.

I'm so totally with you on this one.

No way in Hell would I let my wife head out with her friends on any of our sleds or ATVs. One, they lack the experience. Two, if something were to happen I don't trust her friends to keep level heads. Three, and please don't accuse me of sexism (Puddy and GP) If they were to fall in a creek or get severely stuck they most likely won't have the strength to get the sled out of the predicament.
Four, if they were to break something I would have to fix it and I couldn't trust that they would pay up right away. Chit, one of her friends still owes me $300 for a car that her kid bought from me.

OK I will than..........LOL :D

Seriously though, he's made comments that his wife is a cop, or something like that. If that be the case I would hope that she is level headed enough to know not to put her and her friends into a bad situation. If she has rode before, like he has said, than let them go play. We have to learn from our mistakes just like you guys have learned. Again just my .02

K....I'll be serious for a minute... If my wife asked to do the same with her friends I would: 1) Pick myself up off the floor! She really doesn't like sledding too much, or me! ;) 2) I'd say hell ya! What a great idea! Of course, there are certain sleds I would not let them ride, for their safety. But, I'd make sure they had the sleds, gear and clothes they all needed to have a great time. Rent them if you have to!

Life is about building great memories with people we love and care about! It is much less about sleds!

All I can say is Do whatever GP and C4F tell you to do! I have personally ridden with them, and have to say they are pretty damn good riders!! Probably even better than me in some areas!!

I told you girls had the answers!!:p Like I said, if my wife ever rides with out me I will call Kim for advice LOL! But she don't like to, but she is way cool on letting me go ride with C4F "T". So like GP said, its a matter of trust. As for safety, its on you to show her that she can trust what your talking about when your talking safety and basics. .02 :)
PS. Let me know when the go ride :face-icon-small-win:face-icon-small-ton

Hay Field...........

There ya go. Like he said the first time. "Hay Field". Woo Hoo!!!!

Thanks Marty. LOL! I was sitting here reading this morning really hoping that this post isn't a "Bogus Post" and if it happens to be so be it. Then I thought what some of the gals on the Ladies Ride would have to write about this subject. It would be a very hot topic for a bit. They would make a few of your heads spin and you would fall off your chair to think that there are gals out there that can ride without the guys.

I'm really not the type of gal that wants to ride without my hub. I'd rather him do all the loading, unloading, wrenching, filling the gas, oil, and yes getting me unstuck. ;):o But I do want to know how to do it if I had to. If something happened to him I need to know what to do. I tip over and he's long gone. I need to know how to get my sled upright again. And yes, I can do this all by myself. All 120 pounds of me.
Edit: Except when it's all the way upside down. Then I just stand there and stare at the track and wait for my riding partners to come over and help me out.

I got to hand it to Terri/C4F. She is a total SLED CHICK!!!!:D She has helped me out a ton. She's right there if your stuck or tipped over to help out.:p

I think there is a big difference in letting you wife go out and have an experience and learning along the way and knowing what your wife is capable of and knowing what's in her best interest. My wife would never ever ask me to go out on her own with her friends. She would want me to come with and assist. This is not because I am controlling or even the type of person to put my foot down when I don't agree with my wife. We both respect each other and for the most part do what we want to do (because we respect each other we don't tend to want to do anything that would have a negative effect on the other). But with me knowing my wifes ability and experience snowmobiling (very, very limited, but it was our first date:)) and the fact that none of her friends have any experience I would still say no. Again, I know my wife and she would not want to go without me.....she wouldn't feel safe, confident or secure and therefore wouldn't have fun.

X2^^^ GP & C4F two BAD ARSE gals! They can ride better than some guys no matter the situation. I know alot of fairweather men riders out there that beotch alot. This two are a diffrent Class for sure.:beer;:beer;

Now your scoring beer points Hector. Thanks for the nice words.:D:beer;

No way I'd let her friends out on the equipment that I bust my butt to pay for, maintain and these are machines that I also put my faith in everytime I go out. If her friends wanna ride, they can rent their own and the wife can ride her sled.
I trust her head, her friends. Uh uh.
