What to do with the Doo

I bought a REV 800 this year. Put 1300 miles on it, still have not gotten use to the ride. Everyone keeps saying that I will get use to the sled. Well, the season is almost over! Should I yard the REV for an M1000. Any advice/opinions. Anyone having this issues.

going downhill it always wants to push, I always move my feet and it still feels like I'm over the top of the sled. Then in the powder it seems to not want too float/carve, again feels over the top. I adjusted my shoocks, my feet, weight. Just feels odd!

Pull the stabilizer bar and throw it away. I loved my Rev and the XP is even better.

Let out the tension on the center shock on the rear suspension. Just a couple things off the top of my head.

I've got an 07 Summit 159". It took some getting used to but it didn't take long. I have put 1,000 miles on mine, but if it is taking this long to get used to the sled I would consider riding something else that fits you better.

You should sell it to me for about $2K, thats the best possible solution I can come up with. :)

IMO, the best possible mods you can do to a rev are simple and make them handle WAY different and a LOT better when off playing in the woods.

cut the swaybar in half and get rid of it.. dont even think about it.
smittys drop brackets.

they help the sleds lay over SO MUCH... the summits are just a stretched out trail sled, so the geometry IMO is kinda dumb. the dropping the rear skid bolts down 2.5" made mine handle WAY better. they just carve a lot better

also, its possible to do the simple little rider forward(er) setup that moves the top of the steering post forward about 2-3" that combined with a small rise you get from the angle forward, it changes things up a LOT.. I love the geometry, and other then the drop brackets its all pretty much free.

I adjusted the back shock, rode a lot better. I do have an 8' rise on the bars already. I did find out that the previous owner switched the skis putting the right on the left and the left on the right. He stated is was for side hilling.Could this explaing the drastic downhill push? Did ride an XP on Monday, might be my next sled.
