I'm not supporting McCain for his speech makin skillz, but rather for his decision makin skills.
Why won't Obama admit he was wrong on the surge? O Riley put it to him pretty good, Obama WILL NOT EVER admit he was wrong.....even when its obvious!
McCain has admitted he's been wrong on things, seems like a bigger person to me.
I thought the speech was ok. Trouble is, if you support 8 years of Bush policies, why are you saying you need to change Washington ?
Do yourself a favor and educate yourself on McCains political history in the last 8 years. He was one of Bush's biggest critics even though it was viewed then as political suicide.
educate yourself on the Dems as well, on how they voted with the Reps on Iraq issues.
while your at it, educate yourself on how the attack (war) on Iraq unfolded.
Do yourself a favor. I've lived in Arizona for 24 years which is nearly as long as John McCain has been congressman and senator. He's voted with George Bush 90% of the time. Check his voting record. He will never leave Iraq. It's not in his nature. He's George Bush on steroids.
I agree the speech was just ok but I have a question for you. I am a Bush hater but have no love for Obama. I keep hearing that a vote for McCain is a vote for Bush because he voted down party lines 90% of the time when Bush was in office.
When Obama did stand up and vote (wich was rare) how many times did HE vote against HIS party? The truth is I cant stand both partys and never vote for president because living in Wa your vote is for the Dem's no matter how you feel.
For the first time in a long time I actually care and I think I'm going to vote against Obama even though my vote doesent count for anything and I hardly agree with the Republicans. There's no party for someone like me, pro-chioce, anti religion in government, anti welfare, pro democrocy, anti big government, pro conservation, anti carbon footprint -global warming scam, pro hunting, anti assult guns, pro assisted suicide, anti FCC, pro off shore drilling, pro alternative energy, anti coorperate tax breaks for oil companys, anti special interest and on and on..
I'm at a point in my life where I make way too much money to vote for a socialist and want to enjoy the fruits of my labor. I guess I'm just f'd.

My thoughts exactly. What happened to the good old days of pre Reagan republicans ? Nixon now looks like a Saint. Obama did vote against his party when he voted against the war. It's hard to tell what McCain really stands for, but if he is elected, at least he can form a complete sentence.
He's done well for Arizona. Anyway ... this is a great site. We had a pretty good winter here last year. Still looking for a new T660 turbo.

How about our future first lady??? She's had quite the life also....and she's a drift car racer???? Who would have thought?! Overall an amazing family with such broad life experiences....especially when compared to the experiences of Obama.

He said a lot of things that I liked, Lower taxes, Cut spending, Stop the Pork spending, Lower corp taxes. New tech jobs ect, lots of good stuff. Will is all happen prolly not but it sounds a LOT better than I will rase your taxes, The gov will run the heathcare system ( they can't run anything why would this be any dif) and Weath redistrbution BS.
