I never should have used the DUI as my example.
It totally sidetracked where I was trying to go. Even I got caught up in it.
Any law enforcement entity should be funded to the point that it would survive if it wrote zero tickets. That way they can only be driven by serving the public without having to justify their existence.
I am not anti-cop, not at all. In fact I really feel for them in small communities, it is truly a damned if you do damned if you don't scenario.
People bitch about traffic being too fast & bitch if they happen to be the one being ticketed.

where I live, it is easy to see that they are all about the money.it seems like at the end of a quarter, they set up speed traps and bust everyone going 2mph over.i mean there will be 5 cars pulled over in a 200 yrd stretch.the state troopers are famous for that around here.im pretty sure they have a dollar quota to meet.

Gotta give them low self esteem, bullish, high school drop out, couldn't pass a mental or physical evaluation guys and gals somewhere to work. What better place to work for them people? They can carry a gun and enforce laws that they don't abide to!

I wonder what the percentage of LEO's are ex military? I have a cousin who is retired USMC 24 years, tours in both Iraq wars and Afganistan. Probably seen more **** than most have or ever will. When he retired he joined a police force in Texas and is now in NE Wyoming. He does not fit what you portray LEO's as being. I know many LEO's and I would say 90% of them are ex military and none of them fit your description. Now with that said, there is the occasional Barney Fife wannabe out there. I believe there is even one who is a member on here.

The way they prey on people around here no not really. I work a lot of late nights and in the 7 miles from the shop to my house I routinely see 10 + pigs
I though about it but thats about every 2 months on average I dont need to spend that much time at work. I did catch a stealing employee that way once though . boy was he surprised
Over the hill on the cherry creek side I got pulled over and ticketed for not proerly displaying the plates on my sled trailer even though it was on the factory mount. Those guys are looking for anything they can.
On the news tonight they said a DUI cost the equivelant of 513 cab rides in Sioux Falls.
So I got to thinking.............

..and if you and your three buddies all go in the same car and alternate drivers you will need a safety deposits box to store all of your tax-free loot in.
Only cause we a drinking and driving..if some of you had their way we would be sitting home watching reruns of the duck****s.
