what is the easiest handling sled?

I dorked my 07 rev a month or so ago and have been riding my 03 zx backup. It is an ez sled to setup and performs well, My opinion is that the zx is easier to ride overall. That said it won't climb with the 07, but it won't buck you off either. The rev takes more work to make it perform to its limit but will go farther. The zx is much easier to work on- The rev and the xp chassis suck for maintenance. I may end up raising the bars 3" and riding the zx next year.

The Winner is...

By far, I think the easiest handling sled is the Yamaha Phaser MTX 2008 or later. It feels like you are riding a dirt bike. No other sled I have ridden feels like that. I am looking to pick up a used one if I can find one.

Is the mtx the smaller fan cooled yammy? I think I seen one of those at a dealership in Spokane WA my wife was setting on it and she really like the feel of it, (if its the one I`m thinking of ),since she is just learning. Im not really a yammy fan but they do make cool looking sled, I especially like the Apex. thats a mean looking machine along with the older viper. MY buddy has ridin a few yamahas and was telling me how well balanced they feel.

I have tons of fun on my 07 rev....if it wasn't such a fun machine to ride, I would have made up my mind on an M sled a year ago. That said, I think a smaller guy (I'm 220lbs 6'2") would have a tougher time laying it over and sidehilling it. When I ride an M, I over-ride it for the first while and end up laying in the snow. The M's also don't take bumps like the doo doo, and I can't get the front end up for jumps, bumps and drops like my rev, so the landings always feel harder. Rode an XP for 20 minutes, instantly more comfortable than any other sled to sit down on (if anyone does that), but I was surprised to find it hard to get used to coming off my rev for cutting turns and sidehills.

I want a new sled for next year, but my ideal machine is 1/2 ways between the characteristics of an XP and M sled.....which is my 07 rev

Sleds to ride

My brother just bought an 09 xp for an incredible price. Around eight grand for a great sled. He loves the sled and can do some pretty sweet stuff on it. He said it took about a hundred miles to get used to, but now watching him, you know he has it figured out. He is about your size too.

He got it in Rexburg Idaho

iq carves like a breeze. can side hill with a bit of a weight shift where my edge i had to put two feet on one side. ive heard the m is very close to the iq, ive ridden a xp and its a straight liner.

I dont know what its called.......i think i seen some where a cookie? I call it a doughnut, where you lay the sled over and rip a circle. I can do these with zero effort on my iq, i thought it was just an easy thing to do but i tried on a 162 summit 1000 and it launched me over the seat the first time then the second i let go and the track kicked me in the ***.................f'n straight line'n tank.

If you want a sled that is forgiving and easy to ride get a m7 or m8. They are the most nimble sled I have rode and easiest to get used to. I owned a m7 but sold it for a 08 xp 800x. My biggest beef with arctic cat is that they don't have much of a bottom end. Even on the 1000, but have a smooth power band. I have been on that sled now for the past 2 seasons and I wouldn't trade it for any sled on the market right now! Polaris to me are nose heavey and have never felt good to me. And you don't have to disconect the sway bar to get the xp to side hill. I leave mine on and have no problems doing so. I guess those people still have to learn how to ride them. Once you get use to the xp chasis it will be hard to ride anything else.
