A decision was made, Expert turbo 165 black with small guage, hopefully they get the chain case figured out. Still waiting to see polaris release, might check one of those too, lol

Yes and all 23 owners will need to up grade to either the Auroa or Borg warner on their own dime is what I get from the publication BRP put out.The two piece driveshaft is still in the G5 for 2024. Rumors that the summit will be getting the Rexnord Aurora chain and sprockets are floating around for 2024, but we will see what the sled shows up with. We all thought the turbo had Hyvo like the last 3 years.
Polaris event was awesome. 2 things they really needed. Their tracks dont have the traction of the doo or lynx. They spin more but don't trench. If they worked that out it will be the bomb. I hated their 3 inch when i ran it years ago.Polaris release was uneventful as is to be expected with everything they released over the last few years. Here is hoping they take the next few years and dial in the sleds they got. They have a pile of QC issues to work through between motors, clutches, and brakes.
3.25 track seems great but not 100% convinced it’s needed. I feel when it’s deep you could have a 186 with 4” lugs and you would still get stuck. Last few weeks in Revy it’s been handlebar deep which that track would shine but other than that it seems like a pain in the butt to deal with. You now have a monitoring system to tell you to slow down tracks your speed, good bye warranty claims[emoji23] no more saying I was just on a Sunday cruise when all the lugs came flying off [emoji1787] The polaris guys did get scratchers on their mtn sled which Doo has been putting on since 2015?
New braking system which hopefully alleviates there sleds from going into limp mode if you use throttle and brake at same time.
Colours are usually better from Polaris but most seem to be unhappy with them for 24.

As far as needed, why does doo need a 16 wide then? All the people who have problems are railing them down the trail. They are not made for that. Heat transfers through the clips and delaminates the track. Doo riders have done their share of this and had problems.
I don't have a question. You just answered why they came with it by answering the 16 wide question. Why does Doo need a 16 wide? You answered your own question in the first paragraph of what you wrote. They have the traction the Polaris dosent. When the snow is headlight deep and you have both sleds pointed straight up it’s very evident why the 16 wide is better. Been proven over and over again.
Only people who have 3” track issues are the pin and wiggle guys in low snow conditions, trail racers and spring riders. Been rocking a 3” since the drop and roll chaincase days 2011 ish never had issues that some guys have. But I am fortunate enough to ride in BC mountains where generally snow conditions are pristine.

I already ordered a 165 Turbo Expert, but am also gonna get a 154 NA X. I want the NA for setup snow and after talking to some good riders (SD ambassadors) they said do the X. Their feedback was the Expert wears ya out more when conditions are not ballz deep.Looks like I'm one of the rare picks. Expert NA, 165, big screen.
Will keep my 23 Turbo FreeRide.
@turboless terry And.. apparently I bent the hell out of my 2022 Lynx Boondocker DS rails in my last ride. I have no clue how I bent them. Ice age ones on the way now for rest of this season. No worries. Just was wondering if you liked trees but doesn't matter.
I don't care what you order. All that matters is you like it. Re works awesome in more open terrain which sounds like that's right up your alley. I'm going to try a ds and might keep my re for a spare.@turboless terry And.. apparently I bent the hell out of my 2022 Lynx Boondocker DS rails in my last ride. I have no clue how I bent them. Makes my 2024 RE snowcheck over DS seem like the right decision I think anyway lol.
About a hundred pounds weight difference between those two sleds.Have a '22 Pro 165 Boost and a '23 Khaos 155 9R.
Love the Khaos, Pro is ok but not as much fun IMO at least here in my low elevation riding areas.
Ordered a black Shredder RE 3900 to replace the Boost. Keeping the 9R, it's too fun. Can't wait to compare, haven't had a Ski Doo since my first sled, a '94 MXZ.
Shredder re is insanely fun. More playful than 9r. Just unforgiving in trees . Our 9r is a kaos 155Have a '22 Pro 165 Boost and a '23 Khaos 155 9R.
