What does a motor weigh??

Wondering what the weight is on a 800 motor?

I have no idea.

I would guess not even 100 pounds, probably 65-85???

How far was I off???

I can't find the info anywhere, done about 30 searches. With all the guys on here swapping hardware to save 0.03 lb I thought this would be an easy answer to get.

Which 800?

Pol big block 800? Might be about 68-72 with recoil and water pump assembled. NO carbs or pipes.

My PSI 1155 twin is 84 with the motorplate and recoil assembled, no carbs or pipes.

800 doo short blocks (no head, stator, mag, oil pump ) are 55 pounds. If its fully dressed I'd say 60 pounds.

is it ported? that'll drop 70% of the weight.

I hear the skidoo motors are self-porting.

ski-doo 800 long block 60 lbs. just for fun an apex R1 is 120lbs.
