what dealer is the best to have build a nitro turbo

I want to get a new nitro turbo but I want a dealer that does a good job. I have been told that its all in the setup. In Idaho, Washington or Oregon who is the best dealer? What dealer would you not recomend for a turbo sled?

Absolutly hands down Outlaw Motorsports in Enterprise Oregon.

Give Dustin a call 541-426-3491

I guess it depends on the turbo. If Impulse, Matt Hasara at Powerhouse in Pleasant Grove, UT., even tho that is not one of the three states that you listed, that's who I would trust with Impulse.

the boys at OUTLAW, i can't say enough about them, they will work all day and night to get you out there, and there sh!t runs:beer;:beer;:beer;:)

custom nytro build

it depends on where you live or if your willing to go a long distance, in sheridan wy, sh fab does an excellent job on nytro. he is an impulse dealer and ve dealer, don has been building custom sleds for years

Its good you're doing some research. Dropping this kinda coin its worth shopping around. I see some companies listed I've heard and read great things about.

You should add Lincoln County Customs to your list of companies to check out. Located in Alpine, WY formerly TJ's. Troy has done a ton of installs and has a great product line. Like a couple listed above he has had several full mod sleds performing on our favorite sled videos.

Money you have to drop, and customer service you'll need after the install. That's what makes the diference. I haven't done business with all these companies, but been around enough to know a couple listed have great reputations, so you'll have no issue there.

Another to add to your list.....shop High Altitude Boost located in Silida, CO. Its way outa your identified shopping area, but Trey should not be overlooked because of distance.

There are more than a few great shops these days.

Good luck, and shop the heavy hitters. I know I said shop price, but I mean only price with reliabile well known shops. The established tuners are worth the extra drive and money. Remember some shops have better luck tuning a specific turbo. MCX, Impulse, Boondocker...ect unless you don't know which turbo you're going with I'd put my money behind the tuner who has your specific turbo working.

There is an impulse dealer in sheridan? I had no idea. I am from minnesota but go out there 3 times a year. I am acctually heading out there this weekend. Do you know if anyone that has a sled built by him will be riding this weekend? I would love to try a nytro on boost.

turbo

Maybe I need to drive alittle further. I'm getting all good on this thread but the pm's seem to be telling another story. I dont want to bash so all I can say is some people have alot better luck than others. I wonder if the people who have posted are the only ones that have had good luck with one dealer.

Bring me a half rack of budweiser and some jelly bellys and i'll slap a turbo on for ya

Outlaw turbo build never again

-2 for Outlaw
I had a turbo nitro built by Outlaw last year in Nov. The 1st thing I found was that another sled had to pull me to the trail the ezryde was 1 5/8" at 5:00 oclock to high You couldn't even steer let alone get moving. Next thing no boost 5# to 6# max throttle climbing on the flat 12# the wast gate rod had 3/16" movement. The next thing It wouldn't fuel up running 15.1 a/f. I bought part after part and Powderlites shipped parts because it was always powderlites fault not Outlaws Fault. After 8 weeks in the shop and driving 150 miles round trip 2 times a week on average and the last 3 weeks it stayed at the shop. I picked up the sled and a box of parts rb3, wiring harness, pressure regulator. I drove to powderlites shop 23hr. drive round trip. We unloaded the sled by hand and pulled it into the shop. At that point I found out how bad things were. Lets just put it this way they Powderlites can install a turbo complete with head shimm in 16hrs. It took them 1 guy 16hrs. to fix the install 1 guy 3 hrs. to weld the holes back in and cut them in the right location and 1 guy 1 hr. to clutch. The sled was 21.5 grams heavy and Outlaw had taken out 8 to 10 grams. I had to buy a new trail tank because the hole was 1 drilled about 15" off and 2 over sized. Powderlites is the best company that I have ever worked. Dave will help you 24/7. Ezryde has helped me alot another great company to deal with. Dustin with outlaw will not even return your call.

ouch!

wow thats tough talk. Sound like you should have gone to powderlites in the first place. Should have maybe gone with impulse? My apex with boondocker has been turn key for 2 years. cr

Vernon City Motorsports for the turbo, ask for Nick to do the install. He has installed more 4 stroke turbos than anyone. Pay now or pay later, your choice.

Not gonna knock or prop anybody here, but I WHOLEHEARTEDLY back up what Big Bull just said. I have guys call all the time on turbo installs and when I get the quote done, they say "I can install in myself for $1000 less, or I can have someone else do it for $1000 less" and then they find out that price does not include clutching, gauges, etc. You also find out after having done a few, there are tricks and things that speed up the install and you also find that you will make about 10 trips to the parts store to get various other parts that are not included in the kit.
