Well i gess its true about STM solid motor mounts!!!

I put the 3 STM mounts in my PTO side plate and after a 1000 miles I discovered that the front mount was tore right out of the bulkhead and the back 2 were cracked pretty good. Stripped it down and getting it welded today. Hopefully back up and running by the weekend.

What mounts should I put back in the plate? I plan on putting the 60 Duro green dot mounts back in for all 3. Might do the additional mount underneath the engine on the PTO side in the summer.

Don't forget to replace the little rubber thats between the diamond drive and the PTO Plate!

Add me to the list...small hairline cracked. Drilled tip of crack for now.

Anyone ever try using glue? Many airplanes are assembled with glue nowadays instead of rivets...suppost to work very well. I'm thinking about laying down a layer of glue over mine, and into the welds, and then reinforcing with some aluminum strips. thoughts?

Good to know. The glue I'm looking at is supposed to be competitive with baked glue types but not quite as strong and much slower to cure. What I like about glue is no brittle zones caused by welding...and whatever aluminum grade cat used obviously has issues with a brittle zone reaction around the weld. I just don't see welding working too well unless a new plate is installed...but that's me.

does anyone have part numbers for just the rubber not the whole bracket ?

thanks Daryl

Use part number 0608-405 for round mount in front of clutch and part # 0608-404 for behind clutch.
Using the first # in all three will lead to same problem as STM mounts. I have tried many different mount setups and this combined with a torque stop is best one for me.
