Looks like McMurray is slowly coming back to life. We just landed a huge deal up there. Pretty sweet having our pick of people and iron right now!

curious as to whats shakin everywhere else?

I hate skanky hookers! UPS volume is up in places, unique products are in demand. I'm just tired of hearing it's slow, I know it is in places and I truly feel for anyone who is having troubles but dangit if we all keep saying its getting worse it will! Take the initiative and communicate a special to everyone, I have seen a lot of that kind of thing on here in the past week or two.......cash flow is king! :D

what recession ????? is everybody on glue ?????????? shes balls to the walls man .....by "Accept" by the way ... he he :)

havn't been this busy in a long time... everyday I try to apply at at least one place.. just think of the toys i'll have making less than half of what I'm used to....

Our business doesn't follow the economy, but they haven't talked about layoffs anymore. So, maybe things will become profitable again soon.

Tank truck companies are slashing each others throats around Ft St John for steady production hauls...

Too many guys with big payments are willing to do "charity" work for the oil companies, just to get by... Sad.

Bid cheap and haul overloads just to get by is NOT the answer...

Oil companys would be stupid to not be drilling. They got all contractors working for free. Its really nice to go to work and get paid wages from 10 years ago.Ill show them I wont go until september and just enjoy my summer.

kinda my picture too ...whole month off working around the house, fencing, corrals..etc maybe this winter she'll get better :clock::rolleyes::confused:

I think the drilling will be focused on the shale gas from now on, conventional 1000-2000m gas wells are on their way out.

Deep wells in the mountains and shale gas is where it's at now.

Last summer and fall were flat out... Time to go fishin on the Island...

Can't see gas doing too much? Seems like there is a glut right now. too many guys gotta keep selling to keep the cash flow up

Low natural gas prices are killing many companies. With commodity prices so low, most are trying to weather the storm and survive right now on cash flow. Very difficult to go out and raise money in this environment. Its not that they dont want to drill right now, many simply cant afford to do it. I know of a few energy companies that have filed for bankruptcy this spring. I have a feeling things will slowly progress this fall as long as the price of gas doesn't tank anymore, some have smaller budgets this year and are holding off to Q4 to spend. Operating cost/BOE also plays a major role, the lower your op costs, the more econonomical drilling becomes at low prices.

My safety consulting business is slow right now but my constuction company is busy. I was down in Cleavland at xmas and that part of the world seemed very slow.

Gas should be at a 10-1 ratio to keep oil companies happy so if oil is 70 gas should be at least 7 bucks but it is like half so things need to change.

Do I understand you correctly?
Are you saying that if oil is $70, gas should be $7?
If so, please explain how that helps the economy.

Oil 70 bucks a barrel and natural gas worth $7 cfm.Natural gas prices are too low so many of the wells are shut in.
