Weird problem with '06 600 sdi...

Rode my daughter's 600 in the Snowies this weekend and had a problem. Sled was running fine; we stopped to take a break. Started it back up and took off -- all of a sudden the check engine started blinking and it went into "limp mode" or whatever (wouldn't get over 5000 rpms). Tried wiggling the tether, that didn't do anything. Pulled the tether, put it back in, and it ran fine again. Good thing, since towing it wasn't an option where we were. Did it again several times; had to just pull the tether and put it back in.

Anybody know what this could be -- just a faulty tether or something more serious? I'll call a dealer or two tomorrow, but in the meantime...

Bad cap--you can put a small piece of alum foil in the cap as an emergency fix. $35 for a new one.
