Under the Hood Bag

I see Polaris now has a under the hood bag. Does anyone have it yet? If so, is it easy to access?

Does anyone know if there are any other under the hood bags on the market?

Thanks.

I do and it's the best Polaris bag yet. It fits perfect and has foil on the bottom to dry your goggles without melting them. It looks small in the pic but opens up behind the panel.

Just installed one on my dads sled the other day. Real nice bag. Instructions are kinda hard to follow for installation. Fits nice though and has lots of room for a set of goggles. Really easy to access with just opening the side panel. Have another one sitting on the bench for my sled.

I got it, dealer installed it for me (nice guy), easy access on the right side panel above the can. It is a bit stiff but I think after a run or two it will loosen up. Has reflective material on the bottom and mesh to allow air flow. It also has a stiffing rod goes to the top cross brace. Wish it was bigger so I could put more in it but a pair of goggles and gloves will fit. If it was bigger it would block some of the air flow to the upper vents. I will try to get some picts up, Hope that helps.

It's actually a well engineered bag. Bigger than it looks in the pics. Pretty funky fit, too, tho I replaced the console bolt with a shorter bolt, nylock nut. I wish the PG&A guys that designed the mounting system for the bag also did the wiring harness design on the 2011's.

I have a muff pot mount that is made by a SW member. They are listed in the for sale section. I liked it so much we bought a few for our shop.

Can you explain to me how excatly you mounted the hot dogger? Was there some custom work? Does it get hot enough?

I have mine mounted in the same spot and it required no mods.

I got to get one of these hot doggers:face-icon-small-hap , how do they stand up to the vibs from the motor .

Off topic, sorry, but I see you're water level is about the same as mine - if I try filling to the line it always overflows. Everyone else in the same boat? Mine's a lot more discolored than yours tho! New sled or you ride in perfect conditions all the time?

Cheers,

G

I use the rsi bag on my edge, it works ok, but the polaris bag at 50 bucks is a bargain.... i'd give 100.00 for a set of warm dry gloves on a few of my trips...lol
