un F UGGING REAL!!!! What next???

As long as it's illegal I'll be against it. I admit it's not the worst drug out there, and legalizing it could solve a lot of problems. BUT, how do you regulate it??? Legal smoking age 18...ok. But I DON'T want people driving under the influence of it. How the hell are you going to regulate that:confused:

stoners dont come out of there parents basement.problem solved:)

The same way they do know.. The methodology is already in place. I would assume age would be 21, similar to Alcohol, unless the alcohol age to 18 also.

Well, solved that whole problem, what is next? lol There will still be piss testing for jobs and the like, only thing changed will be probably an increase in testing.

MJ is an interesting thing in that it stays in the system the longest out of all the drugs, including alcohol. That is not counting hair sample testing.

Federal drinking age is 18, but the states set the drinking age to 21 in order to receive transportation funding. 18 or 21...I could care less. How would the police be able to give a DUID? There's no convenient way to test it roadside. It's a hurdle that needs to be solved first. The police can't be sending everybody to the hospital they suspect to be under the influence.

Sobriety tests.... they work for all sorts of things..

Before you can legalize weed you need to answer some questions.
Who gets to use it?
At what age?
What are the consequences of driving under the influence?
How will the police test you if they suspect you've had too much?
Who gets to sell it?
How much are you allowed to have?
Who gets to produce it?
Those are just a few questions that will need to be answered and the politicians we are so fond of will have to come up with the answers. Not sure I like that idea.

Legalize it and tax it is the answer but not many are talking about the big picture....

Taking pot out of the "legal system" would cut down tons of wasted spending on prisoners and free up huge amounts of cash policing pot. I can't remember the stat that Ron Paul was spouting but something like 40% of the money spent to fight crime in America is spent on pot crimes.

The agricultural benefits of weed are huge too.

The counter argument is out-dated and ridiculous based on a society that has cigarettes and alcohol that are way worse for you and cause way more harm to society than pot ever could or will.

Question #1 should be can you make it legal at the federal level. Does no good to have it legal in a state when its illegal federally. It might not be enforced in todays administration but someday another administration may.

Anyone that wants to.

Who gets to produce it?

Farmers who pay taxes or anyone for personal use.

They aren't busting the ones that are growing under prescription

That's because they're not growing enough to be worthwhile for the DEA to bust, the DEA has bigger problems to worry about. The growers know this and they stay under a certain number of plants. If the DEA received funding to increase the number of agents available. The growers would be in a hurt bag.

Especially after 2012 when after we get our conservative govt in place.

one question? so before health care high taxes, maybe we could even say wasteful spending, did we have to legalize drugs to keep a state out of debt?

i really dont care as long as its controlled it that its illegal that i dont think its right. but before we go and legalize it you better have the infrastructure set up, because if you pass the law like most libs do it will be on the front page and in bold and when you read the rest of what is written you will find that it is just a cover page to get votes with no backing and lot of padding for politicians

Legalizing it for the sole reason of monetary gains is the wrong reason....

good point

Answer - Nope, just shut down the illegals from crossing the boarder and flush the ones that are here and the financial problems are over. Pot taxes would just be a bonus.

People who smoke it now would still smoke it after it was legalized and people who don't, still wouldn't. You either are OK with it or you think it's the devils vegetable. I really don't think it would be a big issue at all. Police it like alcohol and tax it just like tobacco and alcohol. Seems simple enough to me.
