twist throttle

anybody actually tried putting a twist throttle on their sled?
glanced off a large rock yesterday which threw me forward into my right hand/thumb which for a moment left me unable to let up on the gas!

Try backing out of the throttle after you twist it. Next to impossible!!! The thumb throttle is much much safer. Same goes for quads.

If you put a twist throttle on a sled you just as well kick yourself in the nuts. Worst Idea I've heard yet, and if you think its cool you don't ride like we do. Try side hilling and doing switch backs, you would have to let off the throttle and regrab it which is not a good thing. It works on a bike because you are practically standing when riding on a sled you can move around to much making it more difficult. I get your delima but trust me bad idea. I road a atv with one and at the end of the day it tried to buck me off and I held on to the handle bars to stay on, well it was at WOT, dam near killed me, one of my lucky to be alive days. wrist throttles are for bikes thats about it. Maybe a knight hawk.

hmmm...
hey Snowest how about setting up some of your riders with twist throttle and run an article on the results - trail riding, back country, sidehilling, climbing, etc.
