Turbo Apex Project Question

What is the advantage of large lower gears, I bought a craigs list apex and it had 24/42 and I stuffed a 25T top gear to make a 25/42 about the largest combo you can get it the case just because I wanted a little more top end (trail sled on a lake vs you guys in the mtn).

Never understood the logic behind large bottom gears

I always take one for the team... leave everything to the last minute and sure enough it will start dumping. Plus it's a giant jigsaw puzzle for me, we stripped it many months ago and all I got is boxes of parts and no idea where anything goes.:confused::confused:

Thanks for the Spy shot... Ha Ha - I have to hook up power and groung to the air/fuel - triple check whole sled - away we go. First test ride is this Sunday.

Cant wait to see how we all make out. If its like any other year - should have no issues with these four strokers. Not even Knuckles. His is looking good!!
I will slide you a few more pics in a couple days. we will line the projects side by each for viewing.:face-icon-small-win:face-icon-small-hap

A/F hooked up!!

Hey thanks, Got the A/F done on my persay lunch break today:face-icon-small-winIt sat idling at 12.7 to 13.0 ish. Wicked it a couple times held it at 1/8 and 1/4 throttle - sat around 13.7 to 13.9. Spiking upto the 14.8/15.
No load yet just running up on lift. Smells and sounds identical to last few seasons with the rear mount. Allthough seems a touch crisper just wackig the throttle.
Tommorow is the Alley test and Sunday is the Mountains test. :face-icon-small-hap.
Knuckles met me for a working liunch - he gave the Nytro a go down the Alley - It sounded awsome Echoeing throught west lethbridge.

Getting even closer now. Back at in a hour for another 3 to 4 hours to wrap the project up.

Ryan
