I have a primary spring from EPI that I will be trying out it is a 125/280.Sorry no I have not. I have weights, and springs in route. Should have it in for next weekend though. Curious where you have found primary springs that are a lot lower than a 140-285?
First of all, everything except Polaris springs are measured at 2.5" & 1.25". Polaris measures their springs at 2.5" & 1.19". That venom almond is a "165-327". That is actually a 165-335 if measured at Polaris heights.
I have been running the Polaris 150-290 for the past month and really like it. With ~74 gram Lightning weights it engages at 4000RPM. Low finish really pulls your top end RPM down.
You low elevation guys should get some lighter springs in your primary to pull the RPM down some. Your bottom end should be a lot stronger than ours since you're at low elevation. With 75-76 gram Lightning weights you could run the 150-290 like me. Or a 150-310, 140-320, or I found a 140-285 in the old stock stuff from Speedwerx. It's also worth mentioning that I have not been running a glide washer; just file the leading edges of the spring and it's fine. Those washers are just making the springs stiffer.

Just recived my 46-34 and 48-34 helix. But i screwed up the order and ordered a non electronic reverse. Is there any problem running this on the axys other then i cant use the reverse?

I've got multiple dual cut helix's that have a ER cut in them. Some of ER cut outs look better than others.
How did it go?
It is working well. Pulling 8350-8450 at 6000-7000 ft. I have some different springs coming for it. 145-300 145-280 and a 160-300. Also found some 70 gram lightning weights so will be trying them with the 145 springs. The one thing I need to get better is the bottom end, it is loading a little to hard for my liking. I'm sure some of it is the Silber because it seems to have the weaker bottom end of the three popular kits.
Just checking: did you get your weights from TCP? The weights come in these sizes: 70, 72.5, 75. BUT, they all weighed differently. So just checking that your "72.5" gram weights actually weigh 72.5 grams. Same goes with your new "70's"...
What boost, elevation, and engagement were you at? Just for other's info. And maybe we can help steer you in the right direction.
You had the 150-310 primary and 72.5 gram weights right? You could try the stock 155-222 secondary spring. That will slow down the shift and take some load off.
I've ran the 140-200 secondary with 74 and 71 gram weights and it loads the motor very hard, so don't do that! haha

Running with the 5 psi spring in the waste gate. Typically ride 6K + or- 1k. Engagement is 4000 rpm with 72.5 150-310 spring.
Put the 160-300 in this afternoon and engagement is @ 4300 rpm with the 72.5. It's a little harsh on the engagement.
Loosing 10 lbs on the high end seems to drop about 150-200 rpm on the top end on flat ground. What are you seeing?
On loading the engine, it is from engagement to 6300 when the boost turns on. Once on boost it is very responsive and works much better then the kit setup.

It is pretty tight. The belt will squeak when the clutches and belt warm up.How is your belt deflection?
Hey guys I got a 17 axys with the 163 3" chaincase running a silber turbo kit on 5 psi with the supplied silber clutching. Ride 5500-7500 ft here in bc tree bashing. I can Easily grenade a belt a ride if I don't stop what feels like every 2 mins to cool down had it at the dealer and alignment is good. This thread is helpful but it's a lot of info is there a place where u can order the trs clutch kit and maybe talk to someone ? Thanks
Agreed i have same, it works on steeper cut. what i was referring to here was this flatter angle helix, and for turbo applications.
I have had discussions with Dan where he has had some that he has put the ER cut out in a dual cut on turbo's and they have bent the helix. So he will no longer do a dual cut with the ER cut out if it is going on a turbo.
I have a dual cut 32/34 without ER cut out that i have used for 3 years on a turbo, just had to stick with the stock spring or else belt would suck into secondary on a hard reverse pull.

Finally put the TRS clutching in Friday night and took it out yesterday for a test ride. I had be putting this off for a while because the old school Turbo clutching I had been using was working ok. First thing I have to say is.... Shouldn't have waited so long. The engagement is smooth (I have the 165/310 in the primary so engagement is a little high for my liking. 4400RPM) So going to try a spring with a lower engagement. The pull of this clutching is incredible. It has long long legs doesn't feel like its hitting the wall. Belt temps seemed pretty good to the hand. Brake in on the belt takes some time. Had about a 10 mile groomed ride in. Then I did 4 full heat cycles. The belt kept getting better and better. By the end of the day it was working great. So one thing I found, break in on this belt is not like the OEM belt. My setup. 17 Axys 174 x X3 with a MTNTK turbo at 9ish lbs. Secondary. Single cut 46 34 with the 140/220 spring. Primary 165/310 75.7 gram Lighting weights shimmed to 28 thou. Belt. Gates Carbon. Gearing. 20/43 chain case with 7T drivers giving me a final of 2.33. Sled is pulling 8250 RPM and big track speed.
