Trouble shooting power valve issues

My exhaust valves are not opening on my m1000. I cleaned them and then realized the servo motor is not cycling. Is the a way to tell if its not communicating or if the motor is toast ?

You can test the motor with 12 volts. Another easy way is if you have another sled or a buddies sled you can plug the motor into and see if it works. Usually when the motors are done they are VERY difficult to turn by hand. It should have resistance, but you should be able to turn the motor left and right with your hand.

Just a thought, last season I had a bent crank and bent flywheel on the mag side and the flywheel was making contact with the stator and was canceling out the power it was creating, it would run, but didnt have enough power to open the power valves. You have to pull the flywheel to see if its rubbing. My sled back fired a few times and has blown ALOT of belts, one of those fun things took out my crank.
