Trinity mountains

What's up papi. My new kitty kat is running strong. I'm going to try to rally back next weekend to come back and rippppp. I know there's some pow up there. Better make sure that xp runs

The xp is ready to rip, waiting for another m8 to put to bed, I thought you wernt going to miss the good snow this year??, Stevo and I ripped all weekend , put a couple hundred miles on in the deep stuff. You better get up here and ride,

From "another" forum..

what's the story with the Trinity Snotel. Its all over the map this year. Any idea what the actual depth is up there?

"Yeah I'm getting pretty annoyed with the guy who is habitually riding under the depth gauge at the cabins. He's doing it every saturday. Must be a 13 year old because only someone that young would act like that."

"it's a guy out of mountain home with artic cat all over his trailer.
so tomorrow I will shovel 3' on the gauge ....so go off mores creek."

From what I hear, (haven't been up there yet) about 4-5'.

A tall blonde headed guy on a blue rt 1000, real loud talking ignorant guy.

We probably shouldn't name any names. The people sitting at the top of the hill, knew who he was. I don't think he realized there where 15 of us in that group, he only saw the 3 sleds by the lake. The three guys didn't fall for it, they called BS, and he laughed and drove off.

I don't know what's going on with the gauge, but there was only three other cars in the parking lot, when it happened. No one that's been mentioned.

That was a boise guy too, must be one of yours. And he hasnt even rode this year yet, and you know it wasnt me I dont trailor to anywhere I ride from my house. I havnt seen the snotel site yet, to much fun in the mountains

I don't really care who's doing it. I wish they'd just stop messing with it. I know ruffly what the depth is, so it's not stopping me from going there. Just don't quite know what to expect. And, after 10 years of watching the gauge, I could tell what the slide danger was going to be.

95% of the people I've meet around Pine & Featherville, are great people. I've only had one real run-in with a guy in the parking lot. He was obviously mental, but not a real local. He decided that he owned the parking lot, made me think seriously about packing. Other than that, that's why I keep going back there, I'd move there if it wasn't a 2 hour commute to work.

I have never tryed to stop anyone from coming up here to ride, in fact I encourage people to come ride with us, everyone knows my parking lot is open to all that are interested in making the trip, if you want to ride with us or on you own, and after the ride there is always cold beer and a great hamburger at the Y- stop to fill you up for the ride home

I've often wondered if I could get their from the Atlanta Road past Arrow Rock. I live over towards Idaho City. That would make for a long day of riding.

Sunday was exceptional up in the Trinities! Took big big HP to go up stuff that is normally a cake walk. Us mere mortals were relegated to the botton third of anything uphill! Super duper fun free riding conditions with a huge group of wonderful people. Trail was butter (very slightly lumpy) and the sun was out all the live long day. Best couple of days riding in a long long time.
