Trinity mountains

Winterwarrior are you guys still burning up Strawberry loop? i know they were during Elk season, i came around the corner from the Ystop one night and the smoke made about a mile of road pretty much a whiteout.

We're mostly done in there. A couple acres of piles to clean up around the top of the loop where we had been burning. If the weather holds out we are gonna go after another unit off the east side of the loop should only take a day or two.

some of my friends went up and rode wagontown couple days ago and said there was about a foot at most once they got up there. I'm ready for it to dump up there I've been waiting for trinities all year

Hey there Idaho! Was hoping you guys keep this thread updated... looking to get back into the Trinities as soon as the snows there!:) Snotel looked positive, hows it really? Worth a drive up from northern Nevada?

It depends upon what you consider 'worth it'. You can definately log a few miles and putter around in the meadows right now, but you will want to be very careful for anything off the road. If you want to really go play, it may be best to wait.

How about putting some miles on the logging roads? Good enough to get a 40 mile day in on the roads?

Trinities

We just got Back Tonight, You should stay down there. We tracked all the Meadows and As Many Trails as we Could Up. Anyway there is about 3 to 4 Foot is some areas in the Back Country behind Hot Dog Hill in the Meadows, It felt GREAT To get the First RIDE in of the season. Got the Turbo out and Burned the Cob webs out of Her and ready for the Steep and Deep Ridin...57 Miles Today

Todd

Thanks!

From fairfield, how do you get to a parking lot? Been to fairfield, never further. Need a ride soon.

West of Fairfield, about 15 miles or so, there's a road on your right, that goes to anderson ranch resevor (sp). ( You should see a big green buidling, they store road salt in on the corner of Hwy20 ). That road drops down to Anderson Ranch Res. and around the lake to Pine, about 15 more miles. You can ride from the parking lot in Pine, or keep going around to Featherville, another 10 miles or so.

And I know all you Boise guys know every thing about the Trinities already so I geuss you dont want to hear anything i am saying, But to the Spring Creek Guys , I have some family in Tuscarora and they say the independence mountains are looking pretty good this year, How about the Ruby's????? Good powder in Lamoile yet?????????

Can't even ride the road in Lamoille yet...... Hardly ever go north to the Independence range just because the Rubies are so close.
