Tri City clutching worth the bill?

Thinking of sending my Pro over to Tri City in Centrrville to have their weights put in and get it scrubed. Is it worth the $500+ or should I spend that money doing something else to my sled? Right now I have the fix kit, PAR head and SLP can.

I'm running their set up this year, I didn't come close to $500 though, whats the break down? I was around $300 for the weights, spring, and washers.

I've only had it out a couple times, but so far so good. It seems to pull a little harder, and tachs right at 8200. Plus when you get off, then back on it, it's a lot more responsive. I can't wait until we get better snow so i can really test it out..

That's good to know.
The guy I talked to on the phone from Tri City said with "their" weights and set plus scrubing plus labor I would be around $500. Did you get yours scrubed?

Okay that makes sense, I installed and scrubbed it myself.

clutch scrubbing...

When I used to work at tri city we would pull the pri/sec. clutches. completely disassemble them and scrub them with emery cloth to remove the glaze on the sheave faces. it also deburs any imperfections.then we would shim the primary... It has to be done correctly to work properly. the goal was to reduce belt slippage, reducing clutch and belt heat.

Tri-City Clutching

They set up my RZR 1000 and it works awesome. I would hope the snowmobile set up would work out just as well :face-icon-small-hap

I have a set of Tri city weights I will sell if anyone is interested. We have some 155's and 163 we ride with and they work great. I will set them up for what ever track and year you have. Pm me is interested
