I have a 1991 yamaha exciter 2 570cc and whenever i give it throttle the throttle overide system kicks in and wont let it get above 3000 RPM's, just wondering why this happens and how to fix it?

I had a phazer that did the same thing. If I remeber right you can unplug the wire that goes to that throttle switch and see if it works. Then you know if that swich is bad. Orjust run it unplugged. You'll just die if the throttle sticks.
