nice try small brain? just wondering but stupid is stupid does right! I never been there yet, just silversands and hassler, powder king and area, been every where just not there smart a-s

maybe you missed the fine print friend but he was being a smart a$$ because some people appear to be going where they shouldn't (i.e. 8k)then posting it on here. Hence the Crappy directions.
By the way it certainly does appear you indeed have not been everywhere, just everywhere in the pine pass

I was up sledding on the 7th of June a little over a week ago. Was about a foot of snow on the road if you drive far enough in. At least a meter deep in the trees. Lots of snow up top still, even on the southern facing slopes considering its the middle of June.. probably still another week or two left I'd say.. :D

Pics from a few weeks ago.. June 7th

This area that you were in is now CLOSED.....I wish some of the sledders in the PG area would start getting smart about where they're sledding. We're going to end up with f *&^% all pretty soon!! Yeah....it sure would have been nice to sled in there last winter and spring but looks like some of us don't want to lose any more places to ride than we've already lost. Sorry.....but this just upsets me!!

It's only a matter of time before they take all riding area's from us, and i know i don't plan on giving up places i ride until there's sign's and maybe a guard at the trailhead.:D

WTF sf! Thanks for the enlightening lecture! :D Are you a nazi? I don't know what kind of agenda your trying to push.. Are you some kind of out of bounds snowmobiling narc? Why do you advertise this sh!t when the fact of the matter is the only reason I put my previous post up, was so other fellow sledders can have an update as to what the snow conditions are. I have made many trips up to the torpy in late spring .. june to july in past years. Some years the riding is great, other times the snow is completely gone. Of course, it would have been nice to have a first-hand snow report so I could have avoiding going if there was no snow.

If I am not mistaken.. WASN'T THAT THE REASON THIS FORUM EXISTS!? This is a snow conditions report forum not a f!king closed area policing forum or haven for whistle-blowers!!
It seems some other people like sf want to turn it into that.
On the other hand, other people like me will continue to ride where we want, barring any obvious signs. And if there is any guards at the trailhead, I will see to it that their truck gets a sh!tkicking.. :D haha!

What do others here think? If I offend people here I will stop posting, but I suspect at least a few people here have found my previous snow report posts useful.

SF let me know when you ride so I can avoid being around then.. dont want you to report the crack on my windshield and/or burnt out license plate lite on my truck to the authorities.. LMAO!

My post isn't what you could call a lecture??...I simply am calling a spade a spade. I saw your pics taken in an area I would have loved to ride in last spring, unfortunately since Feb 2009 it has been taken away from us. It used to be one of my favorite areas!! I'm sure there is many more sledders that would have given anything if they could have that area back.

If I am not mistaken.. WASN'T THAT THE REASON THIS FORUM EXISTS!? This is a snow conditions report forum not a f!king closed area policing forum or haven for whistle-blowers!!

Well, you pretty well explained it right there with your attitude. That is why we as sledders have to fight tooth and nail for whatever riding areas we do have left....

Any responsible, ethical snowmobiler that buys memberships, donates time and or money to a club and respects closures (whether they agree with them or not) will tell you that riding in closed areas and bragging by taking pics is not cool.

I guess it would be pretty hard to be sledding any where near you when you're sledding in all the prime closed areas.

I didn't get the impression somefear was being a nazi, I personally don't care where the f you ride, but please stop posting pics of you and your buds riding closed areas on a public forum idiot. If you want to imform people that there is snow in the torpy then do so, heck even take a pic of the snow, but don't be a retard about it

Frequent flyer, yes I do get it.. and I do realize I opened a can of worms by posting here in the first place.. it is just people like sf with their frothing at the mouth responses and brilliant announcements to the rest of world regarding some disreputable sledding antics that have me riled. But I though that point would have been reasonably obvious already!

If you were heading out sledding in the area, would you not want a report of the conditions to know whether it is worth the drive or not?
Given a conditions report.. people can make their own judgements/decisions of whether they will go or not based on the pictures shown. Why can't we just leave it at that?

Out of consideration of people I may now have mortally offended...... I have edited my post with the pictures to reflect a more neutral depiction of the snow conditions that day.

There really is no point in trying to argue with someone that thinks he's above the law or any closures out there. I rest my case on this one.
The reason we have this forum is to share pics, snow reports, grooming reports and perhaps try to find some new riding buddies. It is not meant to be a form of bashing. But when I see someone posting pics of riding in closed areas it p*sses me off. Yes, I do belong to a club. That is my choice. I would rather support my chosen sport so we can have a voice when it comes down to land-use issues. Without membership we don't have a leg to stand on. We might as well kiss it all goodbye. Pretty soon we aren't going to have any areas to ride in, and you can thank people like Thundercatrev.

this is what a foaming at the mouth response looks like
