Conditions At Togwotee-update

We are way ahead for snow this year compared to the last 6 years! It's super deep and now several feet of champagne powder has fallen over the last week. Conditions are epic; it's our word of the winter out here. The storms have been localized but have favored the Togwotee Pass corridor this year. I feel like I am living in Alaska, as we are getting very few days of sun. We are forecasted for sun tomorrow and I am arranging a team of riders and a photography team for a Lodge marketing ride. Our groomers are fully running and all the trails have been punched through. They have dragged everything except parts of the e-trial, w-trail to slate creek, and sections of the K trail have not been marked by the State. The State of Wyoming marks our trails and Togwotee Mt. Lodge grooms the areas mostly west of the continental divide and north of the Gros Venture. Action Snowmobile in Dubois grooms the union pass area and south too I think. The state is grooming the Gros Venture area this year. The Box Y lodge grooms the Greys River area. With the amounts of super fluffy snow we have been getting every night it's been hard to keep a packed smooth highway trail. The off trail is out of this world now!

I spent the day on a Dragon for the first time and I’m still loyal to the M8’s. The action while side hilling and powder turns seemed more stable to me on the M8. That is all I have ridden for the last 3 years, so I’m kinda partial to the action on the M8.

We still have vacancy during the following times;
01/13-1/18
01/20-2/06 we have a few different units of various nights
2/10-2/15 a few units
After March 8th things open up

We do have a few open nights for one or two nights until march. If your willing to move units we can fit most any periods.

Days we have less then 2 units are;
1/19, 1/26, 2/02, 2/03, 2/16, 2/17, 2/21, 2/24, 2/26, 2/27
Days we are totally sold out are;
2/07, 2/09, 2/22

Give a call and we can try and get you in. Also try Brooks Lake Lodge, Crooked Creek, The Saw Mill and Line Shack. Stop by and visit if you are in the area.

I’ll try and be on here more often.

If you would like to reach me please use my Togwotee e-mail and not a SnoWest private message, I’d be happy to answer any of your questions or concerns, but please call or use our on line booking for availability at the lodge.

Have a safe winter and lets keep the conditions updates and pictures going.

Hey Sally, when are you headed out this way???? Just got down off the hill, rode with Carter. Conditions are awesome. Went some of the same spots as last week. Last week was 20- 40" of fresh everywhere we went, face shots all day and buddy stuck stuck stuck. Last weeks snow has set up a bit and there is about 10-12" fluff on top, perrrrrfect. Supposed to get dumped on up there tonight but we will see.

Trying to come out Feb 2nd. A couple friends signed up on the Nelson tour for that week. Or maybe Presidents week, some friends there that week also.
Are you there all winter?

I want to see Carters new snowmobile!

I hear it is taking him places he only dreamed of.

Looking forward to seeing/ maybe riding with you while you are out. I'm not working up there but do most of my riding out of Tog. Some south of town (Cliff, Commisary). Working in town doing construction, ridin on the weekend. CG has spent the last few days on Lance's Dragon 700 and it sounds like he is going to bucky up for one. I'm sure you will hear about it from him.

Ben--- Awesome pics, keep em comin. I keep forgeting to bring my camera. Looks like you got more snow again last night, Imagine that.

Carters keeping secrets from you. The sled I'm talking about came from Washington. Built especially for him.

Ben, You will need to post a picture of Carters new ride.

No D700 is going to keep up with it, not even Lances.

You must be referring to the custom "light weight" unit sitting out in front of the shop, LOL. I thought he should put the 10" wide simmons skis he got on it for better floatation.

Ray-
What are you lost or is there just not enough snow in CO for ya!!!
Great pics I love being able to check out the undercarriage

The new sled came from Minnesota. Sure wish they used plastic skis. Thise steel ones are hard to get around on.

Sally, we thought you were coming to colorado!! Carter, did you talk rebecca into a couple of "spots" for the guides, I sent her the info? As far as d7 go, don't bet against a certain colorado sheriffs dragon 700>
