Just got back today. The riding was AWESOME. Found plenty of untracked deep pow. There was some untracked snow around the v to cd trail. There were a bunch of bowls in that area that we didn't get a chance to get to and they were untuched.

We have been up here for two days and it has been great. Starting to get lots of tracks, but I am sure if you are adventurous you would be able to find plenty of untrackted snow. We spent a lot of time south on K and it has been pretty good. Thinking of hiring a guide the next time to learn the area better. I see some slides today though, so be careful.

It"s Here

Only rode this area one time, would like to get back there soon and although this wont stop me from going, is anything sliding up there? I have just been reading about so many fatalities but havent noticed much about this area. Just wandering thanks.

Togwotee Mountain Lodge has a great location and cabin set ups. Have seen some negative customer service comments lately.

Here's a link to some others. Lava Mountain Lodge has been updated over the past couple of years. We fuel there when we stay in a cabin toward Brooks Lake. We stayed at Crooked Creek for the first few years when it was new. Facilities were great.

I am actually still trying to decide which town is better to stay in. Dubois, lander, pinedale.....? we want as many riding options as possiable. meadows, tree riding, and some hillclimbing, one guy in the group is hillclimbing nut. Myself, with kids I prefer to ride in the trees, and find natural terrian to jump etc... in other words staying away from anything i think could avy. but some climbing is fun, it wouldn't be a trip out west with out it. thanks for the reply summit 800. will look into those places also the futher s.e we could stay means a shorter drive. we uasually go to laramie. But an extra hour for better riding i guess is worth it

I've been to both Tog and Crooked Creek. No issues at either place for me. Typically there is more snow on the Tog side of the pass. One thing to consider is you have more variety for food and drinks on Union Pass, you have Crooked Creek, Lineshack and Sawmill all within about a mile or so of each other.

Pics from Yesterday at Togwotee...

Several days of fresh champange powder = :)
Sorry I have not been on SnoWest in over a month. Things have been crazy busy in the office and I have not gotten much riding in. I wish I had been on here so I could have responded to our customers earlier. I'll save that for the other thread in the general section and keep on topic here....conditions!

Here are some pics
