who has toddles that when you start anything that as a motor they need a ride? i'm trying to find some gear for my 3 year old. don't want to pay $300 for gear that he is going to out grow in a year and be in the same boat again next year. what are using for helmets motocross or full face. would even consider used.

I sell and have bought the FXR gear for my little kids and it is great i am also a klim dealer and cringe at spending that kind of money on my three year old. Go to FXR's web site and check out their pants and jacket Timmy is in his second year on his jacket and my daughter is on hers. They keep them warm and dry and are very easy on the pocket book you can get nice jacket and pants for around 150 and you will get at least two years out ofthe jacket and maybe three out of the pants.

I have a 4 yr old and I have bought his pants at old navy, they work good and he stays warm, its the gloves that are hard to find. boots we went to payless shoes and got airwalk boots. we have a moto cross polaris helmet we bought new for $25. we are going to by a full faced with a shield now that I will be taking him on longer rides. his cheeks get a little cold. I can't see buying the expensive stuff for only 1 year of use. oh ya make sure you get the neck brace. no sense in wearing a helmet if it will brake his little neck

Tons of disposable small heat packs with you. Put one in each boot....and then trade them out halfway for new ones.

As mentioned....a neck brace is your best investment and a kidd karrier harness is awesome.

Go to your local thrift store and look for snow clothes...or a toddler swap store (becoming more popular all the time).

$5 and the shipping and I'll sell you the matching pants and coat we had for our son when he was that age. We just went through all our old snow clothes and are selling everything that is outgrown at a garage sale on Saturday.

I also have coats, boots and helmets. No pics though, because I'm out of town until Friday night. If anyone is interested, pm me with the sizes (mostly little girl stuff) and I'll ask the anchorbabe to check it out for me.

If your going any distance the warmer clothes are well worth it. I had found Coldwave for my kids when they were younger. You need something that is at least water resistant so they don't get wet so easy. I was lucky as a freind has a boy a few years younger than mine and keeps buying his outgrown suits.
