it starts out running good af gauge was reading rich but the plugs looked lean played with the boondocker box and couldn't get it then it really started running like crap good at wot most times then it would just bog out completely i would let off it then it would run like a raped ape.

Not good. Hope you can get it figured out. Could it be a bad pipe sensor or intake sensor? Something is giving the computer bad info...

Hey BD, last time you rode it worked good. what did you do between then and now? what elevation are you at compared to home, fuel quality. I wouldn't tear into it but U probably already have. i wish I could be of more help. For 4 years I've just pulled the cord and rode mine. it should run hard for you like before and you shouldn't have to screw with that box. If your higher in elevation you might consider using less race fuel. hope you get it figured out.:(

Good luck getting it running right BD, hope to hell you figure it out!
I'm off to B.C. for a day trip this morning, hoping to read better news when I get back tonight!

BD, how old is your TPS?

BD, how old is your TPS?

tps was new a year and a half ago. but yesterday it went down and it was still having issues after i put it back to a 900 so now it should be a lot easier to find. i think it is another tps but the dang thing tests ok when i check it.

but i am going to change all the sensors i haven't changed and the complete wire harnesses and install a pc v with auto tune.

temp of the sled has everything to do with it because it runs pretty good till it gets a good heat soak and the longer you run it the worse it gets. but lastnight i barely made it back and it was acting like a tp but i said heck with it and rented a 10 600 144 for the rest of the trip tired of working on it on my vacation.

yes the sled ran fine before this year but everything is diff. this year went to an 06 motor versus an 05 . there were no codes in the ecu i had them checked.

thanks for the input guys i will let you know what i find out.

Wow that sucks BD. I got mine running-sort of. I put carls ecu and was running it around my house, before I was going to take it where I could really open it up. But I blew my recoild right out the side of it. I don't think it hurt anything (stator & flywheel) the recoil parts were laying next to my can. I had that recoil completely apart to put heavy duty rope on it. The only thing I can think is the bolt holding it in backed out somehow and it touched the recoil basket and shot it out? I don't know- never seen that happen. I just ordered a whole new recoil assembly. I will check to see if anything got damaged and just start it off the strap on the primary.

Those little 6's are alot of fun. I agree with you about having one as a back up sled. I think riding the 6 when conditions are less than stellar or when the "bigdawg" is "Blackhawk down" is the way to go.

As far as the TPS goes, when I was playing with eric small bore's last year, it would pass the sweep test, but one thing that was real peculiar is when having it hooked up to the 9 volt homemade adjustment tool and my meter, without doing anything just simply observing it's output voltage, it would drop voltage about a hundredth of a volt (0.01) about every second.

At first, I thought that maybe the Radio shack electrical components were just getting a little warm and dropping voltage BUT when the new TPS arrived, it held voltage spot on. In the automotive world, I've tested MANY TPS' that would test good but worked better in the trash can.

I think I'd replace the TPS. Even if it doesn't fix it, at least you'll already have one. I think I may by one just to have one for testing purposes like I used to for Jeep Cherokee's in the 90's.

yes i agree the way it was acting on the way back the last day i rode it it was acting like my last tps sensor failure. got another throttle body set up with new tp i am going to install this weekend and then going to ride it here at home and see how it goes. it is a 900 now so i am going to get it running right as a 900 then switch it back and see how it goes..

temp has something to do with it the longer it ran the worse it got. untill i couldn't get over 6000 rpm out of it. the it sat for 30 minutes and ran fine fore a quarter mile then ran like crap again. i will let you all know what i find.

thanks for the input
