Tiger Woods wins 3 Espy's

I think chubby owns some used drawers from him!

I agree stewart is damn fast...now if only he had the rest of the pieces to be a true champ.

Is it true that he's going sx only?

Yes Chubby sleeps with Tigers drawers on.

I think JS is growing up and will be a good Champ.

Well he signed with L&M so I think it might me SX only:mad: I hear they may Be on Honda's also next year insted of yamaha's.

.

I'm saying a guy that is routinly pushing up 350(especially if they lift all around) are not gonna have the physique to swing a golf club like Tiger. I guess I'm saying they would be to muscular.

Since when are you a weight freak if you are pressing 350? I know lots of guys who put up 300+ while being under 200 lbs and are not "too muscular" and a couple who are scratch golfers with very fluid swings.

And besides, upper body strength has little impact on how far or how well you hit a golf ball.

didn't say you were, but it was made to seem tiger is doing full reps on 350. Bug difference from a 350 max to 350 for a warm up.

I know chest strentgh doesn't affect club speed but it will affect your physique which will affect your swing.

Yes it will be fun to see...I'm leaning on Reed going to Gibbs, it would be a great fit.

the only people that say golf is not a sport are the ones that have not played it or the ones that have played it and were so bad that will never go on a course again. golf is a game of millimeters there is not another sport out there that has to be so precise

Never said it was not a sport...Just not a hard one Physically. Boling and pool are precise sports as well.

Landing a 90 foot triple with 39 other Guys next to and Inches behind you is a precise thing too and a MUCH MUCH higher price is payed if you miss!!! Or 4th gear pined thru a set of 4 foot deep whoops try that too!!

Now there is a sport. Curling, you definitly are on for that.

Or darts, pool, bowling, shooting? Those are games of millimeters.

Back to golf and dirt bikes, ever tried taking a bike in the woods on a path that's 33 inches wide adn your handle bars are 34? While going over roots, rocks, trees and all sorts of soil?

I wouldn't say higher price. Sergio missed a put last year in the open by less than 1/2", and it ended up costing him the tournament, and about $600,000. Now that's pricy.

Last time I tried that, I ended up with a broken arm, and a concusion.

Chuck Norris once played 18 holes of golf using a 12 inch strip of rebar and a sun dried tomato. He shot a 54.

I'd say at least 50 percent of the riders you see every week do. They are called privateers. How many golfers have other jobs? Hell even Tim Heron just golfs....

That is my point. These guys are not 100% committed to their sport. The guys playing golf, practice every day, get paid to do this and don't have to worry about making a living at their other job.

Competition is much harder.

Just because you get huge does not mean you lose flexibility. That is a myth.

MY point is there are MANY Golfers who probly NEVER worked out a day in there lifes and they can STILL WIN at Golf. You can't say that about MX. If you don't train your azz off you CAN NOT win at the highesty leavel but you could at golf. Does that make any sence to ya??

I really think you are speaking about something you don't know much about.

I would say 90%+ of all golfers work out regularly.

I know chest strentgh doesn't affect club speed but it will affect your physique which will affect your swing.

Maaaaaaaaaaybe if you are talking about a professional body builder, but that is in the most extreme case and we are talking about regular dudes who work out. Have you seen the different types of swings on tour right now? Look at the LPGA, there are quite a few D-cups (lol, or look at Mickelson or Montgomerie) out there and they have no problem with physique and mechanics while maintaining great golf swings and rotation.

Really!!!

SO what, The point of this hole thing is that Golf is not as had hard as other sports, I don't care if Tiger is in as good of shape as Stewart, the point is he does not have to be but Stewart does. That make any sence?

That makes little sense, very hard to read that one, slow down and proof read your posts.

Yes Tiger does need to be in that good of shape, that is WHY he is so dominate.
He lives to golf, he has changed his swing 3 separate times, 2 of them being while he was the #1 ranked golfer in the world. Why did he change it? Because he knew he needed to maintain his status. Most people would be, I am #1, don't touch a thing.

BTW.. In 2000 Tiger said he could bench 240
http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0HFI/is_4_51/ai_60121202

I would assume it is higher now, but I doubt it is 350.

And according to this article, his numbers are way up, but he focuses on high reps (sometimes as many as 50)
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/print?id=2921413&type=story

This while not always accurate is a good reply... and probably close to his bench

These guys are not 100% committed to their sport-they are, but unlike golf there is only one tour to make money on. In golf, guys like Heron can not win or even make a showing of a major and still make 1 mill a year. In MX you don't podium you don't get sponsors and money, thus the need to work to pay for racing.

I guess i just know the wrong lifters. They are flexible but by no means are they swinging a club up to par, nor are they swinging a bat like Ichiro.

Different sports call for different diffenitions of strength.
