Thunder Mountain Lodge snow report 2

I see some new snow Wed / Thur maybe? Im hoping it somehow happens to double what is forecasted, but anything is better than nothing

needs more snow

There is about 4 ft of snow on the mesa but it needs at least another three feet before you can ride without taking big risks of tearing your sled up! Lots and lots of rock on that mesa

Had a great half day ride with with my old friend Brian Cox yesterday. Great to see Brian on the snow after a very bad snowmobile accident a few yrs ago. We stayed in the trees all day and found some of fresh. Hopefully Mother nature will smile on us this week. Stopped in and saw Billy and Jamie at TML (Roscoe's), ate a piece of the best blueberry pie I've ever had. Brian took a little vid with his Iphone, i'll see if I can get it posted.
Merry Christmas!!!!!!

A little rough but here it is:

Thanks for the post.

We have a trip planned for Jan 4. Wondering your thoughts on snow conditions as we are traveling from Illinois. We are coming another couple trips later in the season, so it wouldnt be a matter of moving the trip, we would be cancelling altogether. Snow looks decent in your video at Grand Mesa. Don't want to "waste" the $ on a trip where we just sit in a bar or trail ride

I wouldn't cancel yet, wait and see what happens over the next 5 or 6 days. As it stands right now, if your Ok with playing in the meadows and trees and staying off of the steeper stuff you guys will have a good time, if not, wait until your next trip. Either way, I'll come up and show your crew some of these hidden stashes.
Merry Christmas

We will hang on to our reservations and after talking with the others I think we may head out there anyway. I mean, there are 3 new ones that we need to put some hours on. Playing in the meadows may be just what we need to get used to em anyhow. As long as we can dabble in the trees every once in a while. Thanks for your thoughts and we would feel honored with your presence. I'll keep you updated if we go or not.

Merry Christmas to you as well!

Got a little more snow last week but still not the best conditions. North facing slopes have lots of snow in the valleys. Cross Alexander and head east for the better snow

Thank you very much BigWill. Big props to all of the guys here on Snowest that keep it interesting, allow us to learn, and help us out with so many questions. I haven't seen but a select few of you in person but it seems completely opposite. Giving us tips and tricks and where to go for the snow, different riding, etc....

All when you have this in your backyard and would be so nice to keep that a secret from groups of guys who live 1,200 miles away.

A HUGE THANK YOU!

Mike, check out the webcam in the morning for our new look, and spectacular pricing here at Thunder Mountain Lodge.

Saw the webcam......What kind of construction did you do again? That's the biggest sheet of plywood you could find?!

Can't read half of it - But I get the jist LMAO
:tea: to you guys, I had it coming

Would love to tell you it is epic, but it just isn't so. Need snow bad.

The Mile Hi SC had it's meeting last night and performed a group snow dance--still planning to ride GM out of TML and ALexander Jan 20-21-22.

NOAA sez the La Nina is to finally break down the high pressure system and begin dumping on Jan 15. 0900 MT. We are anticipating "feast or famine" blizzard conditions.

Cabin 24

Hey Mark can you please call me on that so called upgrade cabin you rented me that the front door blew open all night!!!! Thanks Jeff

Will be at TML February 5th and leaving the 9th. I know it's a ways away, but any idea what conditions will be like?
I've been hoping for snow the past month but it still hasn't showed up. Just hoping I won't have to test out my new TekVest I got fro Christmas.

If I was paying to stay somewhere that had an issue, I'd deffintly say something to the staff right away! Why would you sleep multiple nights and not say anything? Just seems like common sence to me! Duh... and to top it all off your going to go on a public forum and make a post like that. Why wouldnt you bring it up immediately and have the situtation remmited right away? O well we cant all be thinkers now can we....:face-icon-small-win

Jeff, Did not know you had an issue. I am riding at WC right now and will get to you when I return, probably Sunday. If something was wrong believe me I will make it right. Thanks, Mark
