so sometimes bigger isnt better. i have a M1000 that i wrecked and got to thinking i have the throttle bodies off that which are bigger and i know u can get bigger ones for it from bikeman and supposedly make more power BUT what if i used my M1K throttle bodies and reed on my TM8, i would have to get a new charge box from intercooler cause of size diferance,

whats ur guys input on that, think there would be much power to gain by flowing alot more air, then comes injectors im thinkin the 800 injectors are the ones to use but have the M1K injectors too

anyone try this yet

It's a bit of a chore to rework the linkage to narrow up the C to C distance to fit the M8. Your M1000 reed boots will work fine. I'm guessing that some case porting might be neccessary to utilize the extra air avail.

I've wondered about the TPS to air flow relationship. The TPS will be way off at part throttle. More air than fuel and I think the M8 ECU is already are pretty lean at part throttle. Maybe a simple adjustment, but???

I wanted to try it too. I had a set of 1000 TBs with the reworked C/C, even reworked an OVS 1000 air box to fit the M8 center distance. Never did try it. Let us know if you do.
