THINKING TAMPICO, ANYONE ELSE?

We went up last saturday and it was decent. We went past Tree Phones on the left side and wiggled into a little horse camp to unload. Very sketchy snow gettin up top. We thought we were all alone, then we heard some other sleds:face-icon-small-fro Turns out they unloaded on the other side of Tree Phones and said there were just a few dirt spots. I guess i'd try that, but who knows? At least with all This rain it won't be as dusty. Good luck :face-icon-small-hap BTW the bowls were the best places to be.

Is it May or January?

Made it up the middle fork about 1-1/2 miles past tree phones till we hit snow coverage just at the beginning of the sidehill.

The road was pretty solid covered from there on up and we had a good time, all but one of the sidehill climbs is done and the last one will be done in another week easily. There was about 20" of snow on the road at Eagles nest so I would not be surprised if the road will be melted close to that point by next weekend if we have hot weather.

Still about 5 ft at the outhouse at clover flats and all in all it was a good ride except for the weather, clouds and bad visibility in the afternoon, we headed down about 3:00.

Was a good ride for the end of May... hoping to do 2 more trips before putting them away for the summer.....

All right Seth,I sure wish I could get out for another ride or two!!!!
I am for sure going to have an extra sled for next season,I am still kicking myself for selling my M7.

Well, we didn't get to go sledding as it was raining today... but I did decide to whip out the quad for a rip:D

Snow park looks like a rain forest!

Stopped at Eagles Nest as the ruts were pretty deep and I was up there solo... hoping to be back up there on the sled next weekend tho.....:D

just got off the phone with my buddy... planning the last ride of the sledding season for this coming Saturday, doubtful that we will take em out again after that.

Will be the longest I have ridden into the 'summer', and already the most miles in a single season:D:D

If it wasn't for the the fact that I am trying to keep the miles low on the M8 (for resale), I think I'd have to go with ya. Plus everything is cleaned, fogged and put away. I know, lame excuses.....

Have fun and don't tear anything up...

where are you heading too? Would love to get one last crash....I mean ride in. Tag along?

Sorry, didn't see this....

Headed back up to Tampico in the Morning, probably too late now, lol....

If any other sledders are gonna be up tomorrow, don't be afraid to say hi... White Ford Super Duty with 2-Polaris 900s in tow:D:D

June 12th, 2010

Wow, what a ride and what an awesome Day!

It was 60* and almost totally clear skies... couldnt have asked for much better for a last ride:D Ran into Summitrmk and some of his friends up there in their jeeps so that was really cool to chat with you guys and watch you get around.

The road is now totally melted all the way to Eagles nest and there was about 3 ft left at Clover Flats 2/3 of the super bowl still had god coverage on it, but it will be all gone soon with this heat.. I think we picked a good weekend to put them away, and still had some big smiles throughout the day also:D

and now for the good part... the pics

I don't know if I'm sick to my stomach or just jealous with envy....LOL

Maybe we will be so lucky next year. Glad ya had fun.

Great Pics by 94Fordguy! I greatly admire your time spent riding and being a monitor on this board.

The Ski-Benders had our cleanup two weeks ago (7/10-11/2010) we hit all the major roads except for JackAss on up, and the top of Darland down to the bottom of roller coaster due to snow. We hauled a lot of cans and other stuff down. Overall, it wasn't to bad (we missed last year due to the Discovery Creek fire). We did hike down into the convention center, took 2 bag fulls out. We did not hike into the superbowl (my kids were un-available) for minor garbage and 2 tires that you can see from the top. The superbowl was still fairly snow filled, so the walk/slide/tumble down would have probably been a "YouTube" hit, coming up would have been tough lugging those tires. Probably get those next year if they are still there.

We went up last Saturday with the jeep, we were able to make the entire loop. Most of the 2' drifts from the weekend before were only wet spots. Had wonderful views both days. There were still significant drifts on the southern edges of the superbowl.

Have a nice day (and summer truly does suck)

Went quadding last weekend... it was an interesting day:eek::D

Pretty weird to see hail and fog on July 31st:eek:

Is it winter yet?

Hey Tampico, you didn't come across a burgandy camera case up there, did you? I lost one a couple of years ago....HA HA

Thanks for your clean up efforts.

94fordguy, looks like you all had a blast up there.

Thanks for the updates guys. Keep 'em coming and looking forward to some riding together this winter. My M8 sold yesterday, and the new Pro should be coming in a month or two followed by heavy blasts of early snow.
