Wow! What a great thread,I just killed an hour reading through the pages only to be looking for more.The gun control issue is not going to go away and unfortunatly the media is going to make the honest citizens the criminals.We need to unite but also have to stand up for our rights with a level of calm so as not to put the non gun owners on alert from anyone owning a gun.Tough thing to do.We all know there are going to be some rough waters in the near future but being united and keeping the public aware of the the fatal end of our freedom without the ability to defend ourselves is gonna be hard.

Riled up is great, but we really need to get in the face of the liberal left media who makes news out of what it wants too! How do we get more organized and effectively getting our beliefs heard besides the NRA? Does everyone who is reading this thread and agrees with the second amendment do their part to correct wrong thinking when and where they see it?

We need to get a decent news source that we can all use, then we can run the rest outta business!

I always thought my dad was a bit paranoid, but I owe him an apology. This is outrageous and I had no idea this happened during Katrina and I suppose this is proof that this story wasn’t covered by the major news media. Some may think it make sense to confiscate firearms in such a situation, after all, fewer guns means fewer gunshot deaths; however, only law abiding citizens are going to be honest enough to say “yes I have firearms” only to lose their means of self-defense.
