Yeah I know, I know. Still have a lot of time til rideable snow. You still planning on a long weekend early season this year for tuning?

Nice block of Alum.
More capacity is a nice touch-

I'lll post some pic's when mine is all finished-:clock:

Just waiting on my tunnel extension to get done, the 09 taillight is nice and bright, and filt's nicely...

untouchable-
How did you pressure test your cooler??Mine is finished bit sure would like to test it for leaks...

MD

I had a MAC radiator tester up on the shelf. I used a chunk of radiator hose and a few fittings. I plugged one end and hooked up the tester on the other. Put it to about 10 psi the first round and found a few pin holes I had to sure up a bit (soapy water works best). After a few more runs I put it to about 20 psi and let it sit over night without any loss. You could make your own tester if you wanted, all it would take is a pressure gauge on one side and make the other end a fill port. Be ready to chase bubbles

Monkey,

That thing is sweet! How much was that hunk of aluminum? That cooler is going to be a nice addition, maybe a bit OVERKILL for a 700 but that just means you have the capacity for a big block... Looks nice

It was around $80 for the block. The capacity of the stock cooler was 13 fl oz. I did the math and made this on to hold 1.5 times as much. Now if I did my math correcrtly I should be good.:D The res will only be 3/16 thick (same as stock). It's hard to tell by the pick but the whole cooler with by 14"X14".

So are you going to have the baffles extrude to cover so you can weld them, or does the cover just rest on them? I like the machining work though

I was talking to the guy that has the mill and we thought about cutting slots in the top plate and having the baffles welded. It would add support to the center of the cooler. Or I could just weld the cap on. Haven't really decided yet. Do you have a opinion on that? I'm definately open to suggestion, any advice would be great.

I like the black and orange combo, when are you getting the tunnel parts back from powder coat? How is the cooler coming along? It'l be nice to see her when all the parts are back on, then you just need a turbo to make that 700 rip!

Rear section turned out good this time. The cooler is milled out and ready to be welded up. Hope to get that done by next week. I'll get some pics of the milled cooler up in a day or two.

Getting close

Still waiting on a coolant hose so I can put the cooler in. I'll get some more pics up when thats done.
