Decided to long track the crossfire this summer. Most of the parts are stock M7 part and a few I built myself. After selling the stock track and skid and my 144 track that I had on it for out west and buying the parts for the conversion, I'm only out 500 bucks.

BDX foot brackets with my bumper and the piece that will cap off the rear of the tunnel. Still have to cut the tunnel under the bumper and finish mocking everything up and send off to have it powder coated.

how long of track you going, what size lug? will you need to do drop brackets?

Going to 162. I have a set of drop brackets from a 07 M7. Using a 07 162 skid with a 162x2.25x15 camo.

Yeah its a 7. It has a speedwerx head and pipe on it now with a BD box. Last year I regeared the DD to 57/63 so I should have no problems tuning the track. I'm still debaiting on with gas pad to use on the tunnel, the m-series or the crossfire one.

Yeah I just ordered the foot brackets. Kinda steep at 125, but they are real nice. I was going to try to make a set, but it turned out to b a big PITA. It will be a while be for I get more pics up. Need to get a few more items finished before I can move on with the mock up.

You weren't supposed to be looking at that! Don't get much snow in MN anymore, so been riding out west the last two years. Now I don't care if I ride around here anymore, damn mountains are addicting!

of the bumper with the tail/brake light. Ordered the led light from fourbarr. Cut out slot to fit light and running all wires through the custom bumper, should look real good once it's powder coated black.

Going to set back about 3/16". Going to put a piece of clear acrylic over the top and seal it to keep as much water out as possilbe. The led itself is completely seal now, so it shouldn't be to much of a problem. And what the he!! else am I supposed to do all summer long? Might as well work on the sled.

With the sled torn down to that level, I would suggest going a bit further. Then send the chassis in and have the entire thing powder coated. Why? Well I ride an 06 Crossfire..black PC tunnel from the factory. My buddies all run M's with the nude tunnel. The PC provides a barrier between the snow and the aluminum. I never have the severe snow/ice build up as my buddies do with the ""M's". Our guide (Bob from Tog.) was so impressed he tore his XR-S down last summer and had his done. Huge benefit! Never have to kick and carry on to dispose of ice on the running boards. Plus, you can have it done in any color you want for a custom look! Just a heads up for you!

yah it looks good in some aspects, but the iceophobic properties are arguable imo. im in that boat of tear down, but not going to pcoat it, just alot more work, even from the point hes at, theres alot of hidden plastic parts here and there ,, the wire going from the bulkhead to the taillight for example, dont think that would handle bake very well, and a pain to replace. kudos to those that take it that far and i hope it turns out well. i have 2 builds going on now and im fealing just overwhelmed with all the details and piles of parts atm. if nothing else going on i might of done it.

Question on a rear bumper part.

Hey T-Monkey. Did that piece you used to cap your rear tunnel come from BDX? Just wondering because I didn't get this piece with my rear bumper kit. Looks good. Didn't plan on running a snow flap so this piece looks like it will give the rear exchanger a little protection. Here is a pic of my mess. The next time I do this I am going to bag all the bolts/nuts and label where the heck they go. I got a mess of crap in a coffee can
